Job description

Nofence has built the world's first virtual fencing solution for livestock. The technology consists of a solar-powered collar that communicates with an app over the cellular network. Through the app, livestock producers can set up a new grazing area in seconds, and the long days of installing and moving fences are officially over! Livestock can graze longer and in more areas, and the owner will always have visibility of their location. This means better profitability and more free time for producers as well as improved animal welfare.
With a strong foundation of 10,000+ customers globally, we are expanding in the US. To support this growth, we're looking for an Inside Sales Associate to join our dynamic team.
We're building a remote-friendly team across the country. This position can be located anywhere in the Mountain Standard or Pacific Standard time zones of the US.
Join us on the journey to revolutionize agriculture and create a better everyday life for livestock producers and their animals!
About the role
Your mission will be to address incoming inquiries and follow up with potential customers. However, we're looking for someone adaptable, proactive, and ready to take on new challenges as our company evolves. If future needs require outreach sales or cold calling, you should be comfortable stepping into that role.
Above all, we prioritize building strong customer relationships. This means understanding our customers' needs and guiding them to make the most of our product. While we provide full product training, previous experience working in the livestock industry is a great advantage.
Title: Inside Sales Specialist
Status: Full-time, exempt (not subject to overtime), 40 hours per week
Supervisor: National Sales Director- US
Location: United States -Remote - Mountain Standard or Pacific Standard Time Zone
The main responsibilities for this role:
  • Responding to inbound inquiries
  • Follow up sales inquiries through phone and email
  • Manage your own CRM workspace
  • Work alongside our outside sales and customer support team
  • Minimal travel is expected initially, though opportunities may arise as you progress in your career

In the current phase of growing our team we will need someone who is adaptable and willing to contribute to non-sales related tasks like;
  • Contributing to projects across the organization.
  • Contributing to developing the Sales team and shaping our structure.
About you
We are looking for someone who has:
  • A degree or equivalent in a field relevant to the position. Practical experience and engagement can compensate for a lack of formal qualifications.
  • A background which makes you able to answer questions related to agriculture, pasture management, or animal husbandry.
  • Keen interest in our product and ability to gain competence in our technology.
  • Excellent English oral and writing skills.
  • Strong communication skills.

Ideal candidate attributes:
  • Independent and self-driven
  • Efficient and enjoy structure
  • Genuinely interested in giving the best customer experience
  • A team player with a heart for the greater good

What can we offer?
As a company still in our early stages, our way of working is continuously evolving, and you will have the opportunity to make an impact on how we do things. We are passionate about product development, animal welfare, producer welfare and sustainable agriculture. As our colleague you will be part of an exciting company with enormous ambitions for international growth. We genuinely believe our grazing technology can be the biggest technological change in agriculture since the tractor!
The right candidate will get a competitive benefits package including employer-paid health insurance, 25 days of vacation plus all federal holidays, retirement contributions, 8 weeks paid parental leave and a fun and rewarding environment which will enable you to thrive within a supportive team. We will also offer full product training and an onboarding process where you will get to travel and meet the whole global team and feel part of something special from day one!
About Nofence
Managing livestock has always been a challenge. Humanity has tried everything from herding with dogs to walling the animals in with barbed wire, electric, and wooden fences, but these are costly and time-consuming solutions and often in conflict with the local wildlife. It has also left vast areas of potential pasture overgrown and underutilized.
Until now.
Enter virtual fences. What started as a small group of farmers and engineers with a big idea has become Nofence - the world's first virtual fencing solution for livestock. Curious about how it works? Find out more here.
About the Application
Are you ready to change pasture? Also, just like the soil needs a balanced diversity of nutrients to thrive, a company needs a diversity of hearts and minds. We are an equal-opportunity employer!
