• Conduct thorough assessments of patients to establish their treatment needs and develop tailored therapeutic plans.
• Implement evidence-based interventions, providing effective individual counseling sessions that incorporate methods like motivational interviewing and cognitive-behavioral therapy.
• Facilitate engaging group therapy sessions that promote support and camaraderie among individuals in recovery.
• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and addiction specialists to ensure comprehensive and integrated patient care.
• Provide crisis intervention when necessary, stepping in to support clients during substance use emergencies.
• Educate patients and their families about addiction, effective recovery strategies, and available community resources.
• Maintain meticulous records and documentation to comply with legal and ethical guidelines.
• Participate actively in team meetings, case discussions, and ongoing professional development opportunities.
• Stay informed of current research and advancements in the field of substance use disorder treatment, integrating new knowledge into practice.

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from a recognized institution.
• A valid and current license as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the state of California.
• Strong familiarity with substance use disorders, evidence-based treatment methodologies, and recovery principles.
• Demonstrated experience in providing individualized and group therapy in an addiction treatment context.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, equipped with a non-judgmental and empathetic attitude.
• Ability to maintain professional boundaries and uphold ethical standards in all client interactions.
• Proficiency with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and other relevant technology.
• A commitment to working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team approach.

• At least one year of professional experience in a mental health counseling setting, particularly focused on substance use disorders.
