Title: IAM Tester
Location: Minneapolis MN / Remote
Duration: Full Time
QA Tester - Manual Testing with Minimal Automation knowledge
The QA Tester will be responsible for planning, designing, executing, and documenting test scenarios for the customer authentication and IAM replacement project. The role will validate authentication flows across Ping Identity, React-based mobile web sign-on UI, and Java backend/API services. Basic knowledge of Selenium, Cypress, REST Assured, or similar tools preferred but not mandatory.
Responsibilities:
Create and execute manual test cases for customer authentication, sign-on, MFA, SSO, session handling, and error scenarios.
Validate Ping Identity authentication flows, policies, federation, token issuance, and access control behavior.
Test the React-based mobile web sign-on UI across supported browsers, devices, screen sizes, and app-wrapper scenarios.
Perform API testing for Java backend services using tools such as Postman, Swagger, or similar.
Validate integration between UI, IAM platform, backend services, directories, customer identity stores, and downstream systems.
Execute regression, functional, integration, smoke, sanity, and user acceptance testing support.
Identify, document, track, and retest defects through the defect lifecycle.
Support migration testing from the existing IAM solution to the replacement authentication platform.
Perform basic automation or script-based validation only where needed for repeatable regression or API checks.
Collaborate with developers, product owner, architects, scrum master, security teams, and business stakeholders in an Agile delivery model.
