Job description

The Sr. Manager, Contract Management and Analytics is a cross-functional business partner developing and implementing pricing and contracting strategies for inline, launch, and pipeline products to support brand planning, forecasting and ensuring product access aligned with Company financial objectives.

The position will be part of a team providing a broad range of solutions and services across National Channel Accounts (Wholesaler, Specialty Pharmacy, Retail Pharmacy, Group Purchasing Organization, Specialty Distributor, Pharmacy Cooperative).  The position will report to the Associate Director, Contract Development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide Gross-to-Net oversight through facilitation with relevant field and home office partners when evaluating contract proposals
  • Design and implement contracting evaluation analytics for pricing and contract strategies and proposal development  
  • Develop and implement performance metrics to support optimal pull-through of contracts
  • Perform customer level strategic analysis that informs current and future budgets/forecasts/LRP
  • Support the development of channel and customer level pricing strategies that align with brand objectives
  • Implement brand pricing and contracting strategies throughout the product lifecycle that align with optimal market performance
  • Work cross-functionally with Market Access and Legal in the development of offers, agreements and amendments
  • Maintain an executive summary of key contract terms and conditions for each customer and proactively prepare for the evaluation of expiring agreements
  • Collaborate with the Contract Operations and Government Pricing teams to ensure proposed contract terms can be operationalized and meet the business needs
  • Monitor existing customer contracts for contract compliance; includes identifying and recommending opportunities for improvement
  • Support the implementation of contract terms through coordination with third party logistics partner
  • Stay abreast of macro trends in the healthcare environment that potentially impact current and/or future product pricing, contracting and associated strategies across product portfolio

Minimum Education & Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business/science/healthcare.  Master's degree preferred
  • 6+ years of strategic analytics experience, preferably in pharmaceutical payer and/or contracting in National Channel Accounts

Preferred Skills and Knowledge Requirements:

  • Knowledge of the healthcare industry and the role contracts play in the pharmaceutical ecosystem
  • Experience supporting a sales and/or account management team preferred
  • Ability to develop an effective and collaborative working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders 
  • Ability to understand business requirements, propose solutions, gain alignment and execute
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, with a demonstrated ability to gather, understand, and evaluate information from various sources 
  • Strong commitment to providing excellent customer service
  • Ability to coordinate and influence the efforts of cross-functional teams

  • Understanding of industry code of conduct and ethics
  • Ability to prioritize and manage concurrent, and occasionally, competing initiatives 

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $159,000 to $180,000. In addition, this position is eligible for an annual performance pay bonus.  Exact compensation may vary based on skills, training, knowledge, and experience.
