Key Responsibilities

• Conduct individual counseling sessions via video chat to help clients enhance their mental health and face emotional challenges.
• Guide clients in discussing their thoughts, feelings, and experiences, fostering greater self-awareness and understanding of their relationships.
• Act as an advocate for clients, assisting them in defining their mental health goals and objectives.
• Evaluate clients' mental health conditions and collaborate in the development and implementation of tailored treatment plans using evidence-based approaches grounded in clinical expertise.
• Document client interactions and treatment progress while maintaining confidentiality in line with HIPAA regulations.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a remote counselor, you will exclusively work with stable adult clients who have undergone careful screening to ensure they have low acuity mental health concerns. This means you will not be dealing with severe mental health cases, allowing you to focus on clients with manageable issues while providing meaningful support.

Qualifications

• A completed Master’s degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology.
• Current and active license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), with the ability to practice independently without supervision.
• Proficiency in utilizing technology and the capability to conduct sessions via telehealth platforms.
• Strong assessment skills to evaluate client needs and develop effective treatment plans.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, exhibiting empathy and understanding to foster client rapport.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in a telehealth environment or working with remote client bases.
• Familiarity with solution-focused therapy techniques and other evidence-based practices.
