This position is a remote position, based in California, with travel within the California Region of CommonSpirit Health required.

As the Region Director Medical Informatics you will be responsible for implementing and directing Medical Informatics strategy across the California Region, aligning with senior leadership's vision and driving organization-wide impact. In this role you will strive to enhance departmental efficiency, foster innovation, and provide both technical and financial leadership for a critical service line. You will lead high-impact projects and develop programs crucial to CommonSpirit Health's success, influencing long-term organizational goals, and partner directly with clinical informatics, IT, and regional clinicians to ensure seamless EHR deployment, optimization, and workflow standardization. You will also help recruit, develop, and inspire a talented team, managing multiple resources to deliver exceptional results.

Job Requirements
Required Education and Experience:
  • Bachelors Degree In related technical/business area required.
  • Minimum five (5) years leadership experience required.
  • Minimum five (5) years healthcare IT, informatics, or related service line experience required.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Masters Degree in Healthcare, Business Administration, Healthcare Informatics or Nursing preferred.
  • Three (3) years informatics experience preferred.
  • Cerner experience preferred.
  • Cerner to Epic go-live experience preferred.
  • Clinical background (Registered Nurse, Medical Assistant) preferred.
