As our Region Director Medical Informatics, you will be responsible for implementing and directing Medical Informatics strategy across the California Region, aligning with senior leadership's vision and driving organization-wide impact. This critical leadership role offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of healthcare through innovative medical informatics. We're seeking a visionary and strategic leader to drive operational excellence, optimize EHR systems, and standardize clinical workflows across our organization. You will lead high-impact projects and develop programs crucial to CommonSpirit Health's success, influencing long-term organizational goals, and partner directly with clinical informatics, IT, and regional clinicians to ensure seamless EHR deployment, optimization, and workflow standardization.

This position is a remote position, based in California, with travel within the California Region of CommonSpirit Health required.


Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors Degree In related technical/business area required.
  • Minimum five (5) years leadership experience required.
  • Minimum five (5) years healthcare IT, informatics, or related service line experience required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters Degree in Healthcare, Business Administration, Healthcare Informatics or Nursing preferred.
  • Three (3) years informatics experience preferred.
  • Cerner experience preferred.
  • Cerner to Epic go-live experience preferred.
  • Clinical background (Registered Nurse, Medical Assistant) preferred.
