About the Opportunity:
Sterling Engineering is partnering with Olsson to find a Civil Engineer to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a licensed Professional Engineer to work on a variety of civil engineering projects while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. The ideal candidate will have strong technical design experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage projects from planning through design. This role offers the flexibility to work remotely or in a hybrid environment for candidates located near an Olsson office.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare planning, design, and construction documents for civil engineering projects.
  • Develop project scopes of work, schedules, and engineering deliverables.
  • Perform engineering analysis and design while ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards.
  • Collaborate with internal project teams, clients, and stakeholders throughout all phases of project development.
  • Assist with project planning, coordination, and execution.
  • Support business development and marketing initiatives, including proposal preparation and client interactions.
  • Maintain project schedules and provide technical support to ensure successful project completion.
  • Travel to project sites and client meetings as needed (approximately 10-15%).
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering from an ABET-accredited four-year college or university.
  • Registered Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant civil or environmental engineering experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and project management skills.
