Job description

About Sora Schools

Sora Schools is a fully remote middle and high school reimagining what education can look like. Our students and faculty connect from across the country in a dynamic virtual environment, and our school community is held together by meaningful shared experiences - from everyday learning to landmark celebrations like prom and homecoming. We're looking for an organized, proactive Coordinator to help make those experiences happen.

Position Overview

The School Events Coordinator serves as an administrative support partner to Sora's Middle and High School Leadership teams, helping to plan, organize, and coordinate school events from the ground up. This is a collaborative and supportive role - you won't just be executing tasks in isolation; you'll work closely with school leaders to ensure every event is thoughtfully prepared and seamlessly executed.

From building presentation decks to managing calendar invites and logistics, you'll provide the behind-the-scenes operational support that allows leadership to focus on delivering meaningful experiences for students. This is an ideal role for someone who loves organization, thrives on anticipating what's needed, and wants hands-on experience in school operations, event coordination, and remote team collaboration.

Compensation & Commitment

This is a part-time contract, fully remote position. Hours and compensation are as follows:

  • Hours: Approximately 5-10 hours per week, with flexibility to accommodate your schedule

  • Contract Dates: Immediate start date with an end date of 6/19/2027

  • Wage: Hourly rate is $15-$17 per hour, depending on experience.

Schedule expectations may vary slightly around peak event periods, and will always be communicated in advance.

Location

This is a fully remote role.
