Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Christian Mental Health Counselor, you will be responsible for:

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need the following qualifications:

  • A Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, or a related field is required.
  • Strong knowledge of the Bible and biblical counseling techniques to effectively guide faith-based therapy.
  • An independently licensed mental health professional in Washington, D.C. is required; candidates must be within 200 hours of completing their residency.
  • Dual licensure in Virginia or Maryland is highly desired.
  • Experience and training in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) or a willingness to complete foundational training within the first three months of hire.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and application of various therapeutic modalities and interventions to suit diverse client needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills along with a strong ability to work effectively across diverse populations.
  • A compassionate and empathetic approach, maintaining confidentiality and adherence to ethical guidelines in all client interactions.
Preferred Experience
