Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough mental health assessments to determine the needs of children and adolescents, employing standardized tools and clinical interviews.

  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Play Therapy, to effectively address issues like anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral disorders.
  • Facilitate family therapy sessions, guiding parents and caregivers on how to create and maintain supportive, healthy environments for their children.
  • Collaborate with child psychiatrists and allied healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to treatment, sharing valuable insights and updates on patient progress.
  • Provide immediate crisis intervention for young patients experiencing acute mental health emergencies, offering stabilization and short-term support.
  • Educate children and families on mental health challenges, empowering them with knowledge and resources pertinent to their specific situations.
  • Maintain detailed, confidential patient records in compliance with HIPAA and other legal regulations, while ensuring quality assurance standards are met.
  • Participate actively in team meetings, case discussions, and ongoing professional development workshops to stay current with best practices in child and adolescent therapy.
  • Engage in research and continuing education opportunities to enhance therapeutic techniques and methodologies.
Patient Population / Client Focus

This role focuses specifically on young clients, ranging from childhood through adolescence, and their respective families. Therapists in this position will work with a diverse array of patients dealing with mental health disorders including anxiety, depression, ADHD, and various behavioral issues. Understanding the individual needs and circumstances of each patient is critical in delivering effective therapy.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • A valid and active license as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in Arizona.
  • A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience, demonstrating your capacity to deliver therapeutic services effectively.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of child and adolescent mental health disorders and proficiency in contemporary evidence-based treatment methodologies.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this role ranges between USD 75,000 and 100,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
