Work Environment

As part of our outpatient office, you will operate in a supportive and collaborative virtual setting. Our team consists of skilled professionals who are passionate about child and adolescent mental health. The environment emphasizes teamwork, where ideas and best practices are shared to enhance patient care. Your regular work schedule will be Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with the possibility of occasional evening shifts to accommodate patient needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough mental health assessments to identify the needs and challenges faced by children and adolescents.
  • Develop tailored treatment plans that take into account individual developmental stages, family dynamics, and specific mental health concerns.
  • Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions, utilizing methods such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and play therapy.
  • Facilitate family therapy sessions to equip parents and caregivers with the tools necessary to create a supportive home environment.
  • Work closely with child psychiatrists and other interdisciplinary team members to provide coordinated care for patients.
  • Provide crisis intervention support to young clients during critical mental health emergencies, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Educate patients and families on mental health conditions, treatment strategies, and available community resources.
  • Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in adherence to legal and ethical standards.
  • Engage actively in team meetings, case consultations, and ongoing professional development activities.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research and advancements in child and adolescent mental health practices.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on children and adolescents who are experiencing various mental health challenges. This includes, but is not limited to, anxiety disorders, depressive symptoms, ADHD, and behavioral issues. You will have the opportunity to impact their lives positively and assist families in navigating the complexities of mental health.

Qualifications
  • A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.
  • Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMFT, or LMHC in the state of New York.
  • Strong understanding of child and adolescent mental health disorders, along with evidence-based therapeutic modalities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostered by a compassionate, child-centered approach.
  • Demonstrated ability to build rapport with youth and their families, creating a trusting therapeutic relationship.
Preferred Experience
  • A minimum of two years of post-licensure clinical experience is preferred, particularly in a child and adolescent mental health context.
  • Previous experience in delivering individual and family therapy, with proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and related technologies.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic care for patients.
Compensation and Benefits

We are offering a competitive salary ranging from USD 75,000 to 100,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
