Work Environment

This position offers the flexibility of remote work while primarily serving within the school facilities associated with our early intervention programs. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments to determine each child’s developmental needs and strengths.
  • Collaborate with families to develop and implement individualized family service plans (IFSPs) that are tailored to specific goals for their child’s development.
  • Monitor the outcomes of the IFSP to assess effectiveness and make necessary adjustments as a member of the multidisciplinary team.
  • Facilitate supportive family counseling and provide resources to empower parents in enhancing their child’s growth and development.
  • Utilize evidence-based practices in natural learning environments to promote effective teaching and learning strategies.
  • Work closely with other professionals to ensure compliance with all Federal and State regulations governing early intervention services.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with children, families, and team members to foster a supportive and encouraging learning atmosphere.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our primary focus is on young children, particularly babies and toddlers with developmental delays or disabilities. The LCSW will be instrumental in helping these children develop essential skills in physical, cognitive, social/emotional, and communication areas. Working directly with families, you will guide parents through challenges, enhancing their understanding and ability to support their child’s development effectively.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s Degree or Doctorate in Social Work is essential.
  • Current licensure by the Department of Public Health and valid LCSW designation is required.
  • A valid driver’s license to travel as needed.
  • A minimum of one year of experience working directly with children in early intervention settings.
  • Strong adaptability to various learning styles and the ability to customize treatment plans based on individual child needs.
