We are seeking a full-time Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our dedicated team at Insightful Journeys Counseling Center. This remote, telehealth position offers the flexibility to provide high-quality mental health support to children and adolescents, addressing their unique psychological needs while working from the comfort of your home. You will be an essential part of a multidisciplinary team, committed to fostering the mental health and emotional well-being of young individuals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough mental health assessments to evaluate the psychological needs and strengths of children and adolescents during virtual sessions.
  • Develop and implement tailored treatment plans based on individual assessments, taking into account developmental stages, family dynamics, and specific mental health concerns.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), play therapy, and family therapy, to support young clients effectively.
  • Facilitate family therapy sessions to empower parents and caregivers in fostering a nurturing environment at home.
  • Collaborate closely with child psychiatrists and allied health professionals to ensure a coordinated and holistic approach to treatment across multiple disciplines.
  • Provide immediate crisis intervention and support during mental health emergencies, ensuring the safety and well-being of the patient.
  • Educate patients and their families about mental health issues, treatment options, and available community resources to enhance their understanding and recovery process.
  • Maintain precise and confidential documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and ethical standards, ensuring accurate record-keeping of all patient interactions.
  • Contribute to team meetings, case discussions, and ongoing professional training to foster an environment of growth and learning.
  • Stay informed about the latest research, treatment modalities, and advancements in child and adolescent psychiatry to enhance your practice continually.
Patient Population / Client Focus

This role specifically involves working with children and adolescents, ages 3-18, who exhibit a range of mental health challenges. Your empathy, patience, and specialized skills will be critical in creating a supportive atmosphere where young clients feel safe to express their feelings and challenges. You will often engage with family members, ensuring that their emotional needs are addressed while guiding them in their support of their children.

Qualifications
  • A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Texas.
  • A robust understanding of child and adolescent mental health disorders, treatment modalities, and therapeutic approaches relevant to young populations.
  • Experience in delivering individual and family therapy services, showing a proven ability to connect with younger clients.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, paired with a kind, child-centered approach to therapy.
  • Proficient in the use of electronic health record (EHR) systems, video conferencing tools, and general computer applications.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 80,000 to 105,000 per year, along with performance-based bonuses and a sign-on bonus.
