Resp & Qualifications

PURPOSE: 

The Business Relationship Manager (BRM) is a senior-level individual contributor who serves as a trusted advisor, advocate, and liaison between business partners and the companys product and information technology teams.

The BRM helps business partners translate needs into actionable opportunities that improve process efficiency, create operational scale, support technology enhancements, and advance strategic and product development initiatives.

This role works with business customers/partners and key stakeholders to identify, analyze, and capture business value for each initiative while ensuring alignment with corporate strategy and the enterprise roadmap.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Customer insight and relationship management: Maintain a comprehensive customer profile that captures key contacts, performance trends, business challenges, technology environment, upcoming initiatives, and customer sentiment related to the engagement.
  • Business value and strategic alignment: Build and sustain high-level, long-term relationships with business partners to identify emerging needs, shape business ideas, and demonstrate the value of technology-enabled solutions.
  • Performance and value realization: Measure, track, and report on value realization, performance metrics, and customer satisfaction for delivered products, services, and technology initiatives.
  • Business and technology planning: Develop a broad understanding of internal and external business operations, including financial, administrative, and operational priorities, to ensure technology resources and solutions support short- and long-term business goals.
  • Cross-functional coordination: Collaborate across departments to support customer satisfaction through timely issue resolution, proactive performance reporting, and clear communication with business partners.
  • BRM practice improvement: Continuously improve the BRM teams playbook, standards, templates, and best practices to strengthen consistency, scalability, and effectiveness.
    Management reporting: Report ideas, opportunities, and active Business Relationship Management initiatives to management, including status, risks, outcomes, and recommended next steps.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
This position has no direct reports, however, may informally lead teams in a matrix environment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education Level: Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Business or related field OR in lieu of a Bachelor's degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required in addition to the required work experience.

Licenses/Certifications Preferred:

  • Certified Business Relationship Manager-CBRM.

Experience: 10 years progressive experience to include business/system analysis, program/project management, or related advisory or delivery experience with demonstrated delivery of complex initiatives in matrix and cross functional working environments and teams.
Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of prior consulting or professional services experience.

  • Is able to build relationships at all levels in the organization up to and including executive leadership.

  • Significant experience with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Strong analytic skills utilizing tools such as Power BI, Excel, etc.
  • Must be able to meet established deadlines and handle multiple customer service demands from internal and external customers, within set expectations for service excellence. Must be able to effectively communicate and provide positive customer service to every internal and external customer, including customers who may be demanding or otherwise challenging.

Salary Range: 117,040 - 209,209
