We are actively hiring for an Enterprise Data Architect- Remote

Your Role: CSAA Insurance Group is seeking a Principal Architect to serve as our Enterprise Data Architect, supporting the design and delivery of secure, scalable data and AI platforms across the enterprise. This role sits within the SVP Enterprise Architecture leadership team, with a dottedline partnership to Enterprise Data, and plays a critical handson role in enabling advanced analytics and AIdriven capabilities. The ideal candidate brings deep technical expertise and systems thinking to architect modern data platforms, integrate AI workloads, and embed security controls-bridging strategy and execution to ensure enterprise data is leveraged safely, effectively, and at scale.

Your Work:
  • Facilitating designs and building solutions across the enterprise, with a focus on evolving our technical capabilities in support of delivering business capabilities.

  • Solutions are built in a highly collaborative environment, partnering with engineering, product, and program leaders.

  • Leads and provides direction to Application Integration, Data, and Platform architecture vision for the enterprise

  • Works on the most sophisticated projects and contributes to the overall strategic vision of the organization

  • Integrates a broad range of ideas regarding technical and solution architecture, while developing strategies for migration toward the cloud architectural vision.

  • Partners with business leaders to provide expert technical advice and influence strategic decision making

  • Assess industry trends (business and technology) and appropriately position their subject areas.

  • Provides thought leadership, creates strategies, and makes recommendations on a wide variety of complex issues having a significant and strategic impact on processes and the business.

  • Creates, guides, and partners with other architects in creating and maintaining roadmaps that connect business strategies to capabilities and provide a milestone view of the cadence needed to move from the current state to the future state.

  • Delivers a clear, pragmatic, approach with applicability to meet immediate business needs

  • Demonstrates a strong ability to learn new information and systems quickly, works successfully in a highly matrixed organization effectively manage priorities, deliverables, and timelines with little need for escalation

  • Leverage the appropriate mix of in-house and outsourced resources to protect intellectual property.

  • Design and evolve modern data platforms (lakehouse, warehouse, streaming) across cloud environments.

  • Enable AI/ML use cases by supporting data pipelines, feature engineering, and model integration.

  • Embed security and governance controls into data pipelines and platforms.

  • Architect integrations across Cloud platforms, Data platforms, and Enterprise systems.

  • Define API and data access patterns for internal and external consumers.

  • Establish standards for Data ingestion, Orchestration and pipeline management, and Observability and data quality.

  • Ensure platforms support high-performance analytics and AI workloads.

  • Implement lightweight but effective governance frameworks.

  • Balance speed and control to support business innovation.

  • Translate architecture into implementable patterns and guidance.

Required Experience, Education and Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in related area (Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field) or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • 10+ years Systems development and business experience designing solutions for multiple types of systems, client users and/or units across an organization.

  • 5+ years Technical experience in current domain level for design, execution and deployments.

  • Experience in Cloud implementations (preferably AWS).

  • Provide strong end-to-end leadership in the definition and build out of solutions as part of project teams.

  • Hands-on experience with modern data platforms (Snowflake, Databricks, etc.), modern AI / ML platforms (Palantir, DataRobot, etc.), and cloud-native architectures

  • Identify, plan, and implement improvements to deployment/release pipelines.

  • Demonstrable experience with leading tools and techniques in the domain, applicable to a multi-platform environment. Demonstrated ability to work in a sophisticated organization to determine information systems needs and to build the environment to facilitate the development of systems to meet those needs.

  • Experience designing data pipelines and analytics platforms; understanding of data modeling, storage, and access optimization

  • Experience with API design and integration patterns, streaming technologies, and data orchestration tools

  • Ability to lead engineers and architects

The national average salary range for this position is $186,660.00-$207,400.00. However, we have a location-based compensation structure. Our salary ranges vary and are calculated based on work location. The starting pay range for this position across all the states we hire in is $186,660.00-$248,750.00. This role also includes an opportunity for a company-wide annual discretionary bonus, through our Annual Incentive Plan (AIP), of up to 15% of eligible pay.This job posting will be unposted on Fri, 19 Jun 2026.
