Role: Automation Engineer (iPaaS / Workato Platform)

Client: Nutanix

Duration: 6 Months Contract

Location: Remote ( Client Location – San Jose, CA)

Pay Rate: $80/hr. on W2


Job Summary

Nutanix is seeking an experienced Automation Engineer with strong expertise in iPaaS platforms (Workato preferred) to design, develop, and maintain enterprise automation and integration solutions. The ideal candidate will build scalable workflows, integrate enterprise applications, and support AI-driven automation initiatives across IT and business operations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain automation workflows using Workato or similar iPaaS platforms.
  • Build integrations between GenAI platforms, enterprise applications, APIs, and databases.
  • Develop reusable AI integration frameworks, including LLMs, Vector Databases, and RAG pipelines.
  • Create integrations across enterprise systems, SaaS platforms, and cloud applications.
  • Manage the complete automation lifecycle including design, development, testing, deployment, and monitoring.
  • Develop reusable automation templates and scalable components.
  • Integrate SSO, RBAC, and Identity Management solutions into automation workflows.
  • Build and support AI-driven workflows, decision automation, and agent-based solutions.
  • Monitor automation performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize workflows.
  • Collaborate with IT, Security, Procurement, and Business teams to gather automation requirements.
  • Ensure governance, security, compliance, and best practices across all automation initiatives.
  • Contribute to enterprise automation strategy and platform standardization.


Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in Automation Engineering, Integration Engineering, or Software Engineering.
  • Hands-on experience with Workato or similar iPaaS platforms such as Boomi, MuleSoft, or Zapier.
  • Strong knowledge of REST APIs, Webhooks, and Event-Driven Architecture.
  • Experience integrating enterprise applications including ITSM, CRM, HRIS, and Identity Platforms.
  • Experience working with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Strong understanding of workflow orchestration and business process automation.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and debugging skills.
  • Knowledge of security, compliance, and data privacy for enterprise integrations.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with AI/LLM integrations and Agentic AI workflows.
  • Experience with ServiceNow, Okta, or similar enterprise platforms.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and version control practices.
  • Scripting experience using Python, JavaScript, or similar languages.
  • Experience with observability and monitoring tools.
  • Exposure to large-scale enterprise automation environments.
