Summary:

We are seeking an Automation Systems Support professional to provide technical and infrastructure support for manufacturing and Quality Control (QC) automation systems. This role supports Distributed Control Systems (DCS), Manufacturing Control Systems (MCS), PLCs, BAS, and QC systems while assisting with infrastructure maintenance, troubleshooting, system administration, and automation projects in a regulated manufacturing environment.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Provide system administration, infrastructure design, and technical support for MCS, DCS, PLC, BAS, and site QC systems.
  • Support manufacturing and QC-related infrastructure, including vendor software integrations and custom applications.
  • Assist senior system engineers with projects aligned to the Automation and QC roadmap.
  • Support user management activities for manufacturing and QC systems.
  • Perform routine backup, restore, archival, patching, audit trail review, and data retention activities.
  • Assist in maintaining system availability and supporting infrastructure components such as firewalls and antivirus software.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, process science, validation, and quality assurance teams to implement effective solutions.
  • Support troubleshooting, root cause analysis, CAPAs, investigations, and resolution of automation and QC system issues.
  • Assist with infrastructure testing, debugging, startup, and validation support activities.
  • Provide troubleshooting and break-fix support for CCP1, CCP2, PLC, and QC systems, including after-hours/on-call support as required.
  • Support documentation activities including requirements, scope definitions, design documents, and drawings.
  • Support ongoing manufacturing operations by evaluating discrepancies and implementing corrective action plans.
Required Skills
  • Strong understanding of Process Automation Systems, including DCS, MCS, PLC, BAS, and QC systems.
  • Experience with system administration, infrastructure support, and automation troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing and QC operations in a regulated environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to determine cause-and-effect relationships and recommend solutions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively across multiple teams and organizational levels.
  • Ability to manage priorities and adapt to changing business conditions.
  • Experience supporting infrastructure components such as firewalls, antivirus software, backup/restore processes, and patch management.
  • Ability to support investigations, CAPAs, and discrepancy resolution activities.
  • Willingness to provide after-hours/on-call support when required.
