We are currently seeking a Salesforce CPQ Solution Architect to join our team in Santa Clara, California (US-CA), United States (US).

NTT DATA is seeking an experienced Salesforce CPQ Solution Architect to lead solution design, architecture, and delivery for a large-scale enterprise Salesforce implementation. The ideal candidate combines deep Salesforce CPQ expertise with strong integration experience, executive communication skills, and the ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable, governed technical solutions.

 

Architecture & Solution Design

  • Own end-to-end CPQ solution architecture: quote lifecycle, pricing rules, BOM generation, approval routing, and quote-to-order handoff
  • Lead design decisions for complex pricing scenarios including special pricing guardrails, milestone-based rebate repricing, and configurator-driven BOM integration
  • Produce solution design documents, data flow diagrams, integration specifications, and CPQ configuration guides
  • Salesforce Platform & Integration
  • Design role-based security: field-level masking, Experience Cloud sharing rules, permission set strategy, and OEM/partner data isolation
  • Provide technical governance on Apex, Flow, SOQL optimization, and governor limit strategy across CPQ and portal workstreams
  • Guide CPQ-to-Order integration ensuring clean, traceable handoff to downstream financial systems
  • Delivery & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Serve as primary technical point of contact between the delivery team and client stakeholders during design and build phases
  • Facilitate solution design workshops to clarify scope, resolve ambiguous requirements, and produce documented architecture decisions
  • Ensure 85%+ unit test coverage, validate CPQ configuration integrity across environments, and own technical risk identification

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 8+ years experience in Salesforce enterprise architecture frameworks and integration patterns
  • 8+ years hands-on CPQ in SA or lead developer role
  • 8+ Salesforce CPQ (Steelbrick / SBQQ)
  • 8+ years experience in price rules, product rules, discount schedules, block pricing
  • 8+ years experience in Quote line architecture design for high-volume, multi-product environments                               
  • 8+ years experience in Advanced approval processes, subscription products, and amendment/renewal flows
  • 8+ years of experience in CPQ integration with ERP, rebate platforms, and external configurators via REST / MuleSoft  
  • 8+ years of experience in CPQ security model: SBQQ permissions, FLS, Experience Cloud access, price masking by role

Salesforce Platform

  • 8+ years of experience in Apex: trigger frameworks, batch/queueable jobs, governor limit management                       
  • 8+ years of experience in Flow Builder: automation design and legacy Process Builder migration
  • 8+ years of experience in Cloud: partner/OEM self-service quoting and sharing model
  • 8+ years of expereince in SOQL optimization for large-volume CPQ datasets

Integration & Architecture

  • 8 + years of experience in MuleSoft or comparable middleware for CPQ-to-ERP and configurator integration                   
  • 8+ years experience in REST/SOAP API design: contracts, payload structures, async/sync patterns
  • 8 + years of experience in SAP SD or Vistex/rebate management integration with Salesforce CPQ Error handling, retry logic, and integration monitoring patterns

Preferred Skills

  • Manufacturing Cloud or high-tech / semiconductor CPQ experience  
  • OmniStudio (OmniScript, DataRaptors) for portal UI patterns
  • ERA, ServiceNow, or comparable BOM configurator integration Agentforce, Einstein Analytics, or AI-assisted quoting features
  • Export compliance or regional pricing restrictions within CPQ T
  • Tableau / Einstein Analytics for CPQ pipeline and forecast reporting
  • Salesforce Shield, Field Audit Trail, or Event Monitoring        Prior NTT DATA delivery or familiarity with NTT governance frameworks
  • Ability to communicate (oral/written) effectively to exchange information with our client.                                                  
  • Commerce graduate with English as a compulsory subject

Salesforce Certifications

  • Salesforce Certified CPQ Specialist (required)   
  • Platform App Builder or Sales Cloud certification

NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for U.S.-based positions. The starting pay range for this remote role is $157,492.00 to $262,488.00 This range reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate’s actual work location, relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications. This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation based on individual and/or company performance. 

This position is eligible for company benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance with an employer contribution, flexible spending or health savings account, life and AD&D insurance, short- and long-term disability coverage, paid time off, employee assistance, participation in a 401k program with company match, and additional voluntary or legally required benefits.
