Compensation:

$130,000 - $170,000 yearly


Responsibilities:
  • Represent clients in court proceedings, focusing on the Marchman Act and Guardianship cases, to ensure their rights and interests are protected.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case strategies and provide informed legal advice to clients.
  • Draft, review, and file legal documents, including motions, pleadings, and briefs, to advance client cases effectively.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and legal staff to develop comprehensive case plans and strategies that align with client goals.
  • Engage in client consultations to understand their needs, provide updates, and offer guidance on legal options and outcomes.
  • Negotiate settlements and agreements with opposing parties to achieve favorable resolutions for clients.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws and regulations to ensure compliance and provide accurate legal counsel in the behavioral health sector.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in good standing with the Florida Bar.
  • 3โ€“5 years of litigation experience required.
  • Prior experience in Guardianship, Marchman Act, and/or Behavioral Health Law is highly preferred.
  • Ability to conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case strategies and provide informed legal advice.
  • Proven track record of drafting, reviewing, and filing legal documents, including motions, pleadings, and briefs.
  • Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with senior attorneys and legal staff in developing case plans.
  • Excellent communication skills for engaging in client consultations and providing clear legal guidance.
  • Negotiation skills to achieve favorable settlements and agreements for clients.
  • Commitment to maintaining up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws and regulations in the behavioral health sector to ensure compliance and accurate counsel.
