This full-time position focuses on supporting individuals on their recovery journey from substance use disorders. This position is entirely remote, allowing you to engage with patients in a flexible telehealth setting. Using technology to facilitate therapeutic sessions, you’ll enjoy a structured schedule while having the autonomy to connect effectively with clients from the comfort of your own space. The standard working hours are Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with the potential for some evening shifts based on patient needs.

• Conduct thorough assessments to understand the unique needs and goals of patients seeking treatment for substance use disorders.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based therapeutic interventions, regularly reviewing progress and adjusting as necessary.
• Provide engaging individual counseling utilizing various methodologies including motivational interviewing and cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) to address addiction challenges.
• Facilitate group therapy sessions, fostering a supportive environment that encourages patients to share experiences and collaborate on recovery goals.
• Collaborate seamlessly with psychiatrists, addiction medicine specialists, and a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care.
• Offer immediate crisis intervention strategies and compassionate support in substance-related emergencies.
• Educate patients and their families on addiction, effective recovery strategies, and available community resources, empowering them for sustainable recovery.
• Maintain thorough and accurate documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems to ensure confidentiality and accountability.
• Actively participate in team meetings, case consultations, and professional development, contributing to a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
• Stay current with advancements in substance use treatment, integrating new practices and research findings into your work.

Your primary responsibility will be to support individuals facing substance use disorders, a population often grappling with complex emotional and psychological challenges. You will be instrumental in guiding these patients through their recovery journey by providing personalized, empathetic care that addresses both their mental health and substance use issues.

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Georgia.
• In-depth understanding of substance use disorders and familiarity with both evidence-based treatment modalities and recovery-oriented care.
• Experience in delivering both individual and group therapy, specifically within the context of addiction treatment.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills paired with a non-judgmental, empathetic approach to care.
• Proficiency in upholding professional boundaries, adhering to ethical guidelines, and ensuring patient confidentiality in all interactions.
• Comfortable using electronic health record (EHR) systems and office technology to streamline care delivery.
• Collaborative mindset, with a proven track record of working effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

• A minimum of one year of clinical experience in mental health counseling, particularly with individuals struggling with substance use disorders.
• Demonstrated ability to engage with diverse populations, adapting treatment approaches to meet varied cultural and individual needs.
