This is a remote position, allowing our licensed mental health counselor the flexibility to support clients from a virtual setting while engaging with a dynamic and collaborative team of healthcare professionals. • Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations, gathering detailed histories and insights to inform treatment planning.
• Create individualized and group treatment plans addressing clients' specific mental, behavioral, and emotional health challenges.
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based practices to promote recovery and personal growth.
• Monitor and document client progress regularly, adjusting treatment plans as necessary based on ongoing assessments.
• Collaborate closely with other mental health specialists, physicians, nurses, and social workers to develop a cohesive, multidisciplinary approach to treatment.
• Follow up with hospital-admitted clients and their care teams to ensure continuity of mental health support throughout their recovery journey.
• Identify risk factors and intervene to prevent behaviors that may hinder clients' recovery and well-being.
• Support family members and caregivers in understanding mental health challenges and navigating the recovery process.

The mental health counselor will serve a diverse clientele, including individuals, couples, and families across various demographics and presenting concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma-related disorders, and addiction. • A completed master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid license as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Arizona.
• Successful passage of the NCE and/or NCMHCE examinations.
• Strong proficiency in the use of electronic health record systems, such as AVATAR, to document and track client care effectively.
• A thorough understanding of addiction disorders and the interplay between mental health and physical health conditions.
• A solid grasp of the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices and ethical standards.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, enabling effective engagement with clients and professional collaboration.
• Strong empathetic skills and the ability to connect anxiously with clients and their families.

• Previous experience working as a mental health counselor in various settings such as community health, inpatient, or outpatient environments.
• Familiarity with trauma-informed care and its application in therapy.
• Experience with crisis intervention techniques and client advocacy.
