Your expertise will help clients navigate their mental health challenges and work toward resilience and growth.

About the Organization

Avella Behavioral Health Center is committed to enhancing mental health and wellness within our community. Our approach revolves around delivering compassionate care through evidence-based therapies designed specifically for each client’s unique circumstances. We pride ourselves on our interdisciplinary collaboration and ensure that our clients have access to holistic support, fostering a comprehensive treatment environment.

Work Environment

This position is fully remote, providing you with flexibility to balance your professional responsibilities and personal well-being. You will work within a community health clinic framework, where technology and communication tools will connect you with both clients and your colleagues. The supportive nature of our team enhances this role, allowing you to focus on delivering impactful care while collaborating effectively with other mental health professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments of clients’ mental health needs, creating individualized treatment plans that align with their goals and diagnoses.
  • Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions using evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and other modalities tailored to client needs.
  • Engage in crisis intervention strategies to support clients in acute situations, ensuring immediate and appropriate care is provided.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential documentation of all client interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes, while adhering to ethical and legal standards of practice.
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare providers, including psychiatrists and social workers, to ensure holistic client care.
  • Educate clients and their families on mental health questions, treatment options, and community resources to empower informed decision-making.
  • Stay updated on advancements in mental health practices through ongoing professional development activities, including training workshops and seminars.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will serve a diverse clientele facing a wide range of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. Avella Behavioral Health Center focuses on fostering an inclusive environment where all clients feel supported in their journey toward mental well-being. Your role is essential in helping various age groups and backgrounds feel heard and understood as they work toward recovery.

Qualifications
  • Current licensure as a Mental Health Therapist (LMFT, LMHC, or LICSW) in the state of Massachusetts.
  • Master's or Doctoral degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a closely related field.
  • Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills, with the ability to recognize and address complex mental health issues.
  • A minimum of two years of related clinical experience, demonstrating the ability to deliver effective therapeutic interventions.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling positive interactions with clients and colleagues alike.
  • Capable of working independently while valuing team collaboration to enhance client outcomes.
  • A commitment to ethical practice standards and ongoing professional development.
Preferred Experience

While not necessary, previous experience in an outpatient clinical setting is advantageous and can enhance your effectiveness in this role. Familiarity with electronic health record systems and telehealth platforms will also be beneficial in streamlining your workflow.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this role ranges from USD 85,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience. In addition to competitive compensation, Avella Behavioral Health Center offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision insurance. We recognize the importance of professional growth and provide opportunities for continuing education, alongside access to workshops and training sessions.
