As a Mental Health Therapist at Spring Water Behavioral Health Services, you will:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' symptoms, including severity, frequency, and duration of mood disorders.
• Collaborate with clients to develop personalized treatment plans that outline their goals and need for therapeutic interventions.
• Implement evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to address mood disorders effectively.
• Educate clients and their families on mood disorders and treatment strategies, emphasizing self-care techniques for ongoing mental wellness.
• Monitor clients' progress, adjusting treatment plans based on their evolving needs and feedback.
• Engage in regular communication with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure an integrated approach to patient care.
• Maintain detailed and confidential documentation adhering to legal and ethical standards, including session notes and treatment plans.
• Participate in team meetings, case consultations, and professional development opportunities to enhance clinical practice and stay informed about latest trends in mental health treatment.

Your work will primarily focus on clients experiencing various mood disorders, including but not limited to major depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety-related issues. You will play a crucial role in guiding these individuals through their challenges, facilitating a supportive therapeutic relationship, and advocating for their mental health needs.

To qualify for this role, candidates must possess:

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• A current and valid license to practice as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Texas.
• Proven expertise in evidence-based treatment modalities, specifically CBT and DBT, for mood disorders.
• A strong foundational understanding of psychopharmacology and the ability to collaborate effectively with psychiatrists and a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
• Exceptional communication skills and an ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds and life experiences.

Preferred candidates will have:

• A minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in a mental health setting, specifically dealing with mood disorders.
• A track record demonstrating successful outcomes in treating clients with mood disorders.
