• Conduct thorough mental health assessments through preliminary interviews, documenting information meticulously from the initial consultation through the course of treatment.
• Evaluate clients’ mental, behavioral, and emotional health to create individualized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based and holistic approaches.
• Develop and implement appropriate interventions and recovery strategies for individuals, couples, families, and groups, tailored to their specific situations.
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing various therapeutic modalities to foster a therapeutic environment.
• Monitor and document client progress, making adjustments to treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Collaborate with other mental health professionals, including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to ensure a comprehensive approach to client care.
• Provide follow-up care for clients who have been hospitalized, maintaining communication with their healthcare providers.
• Identify and mitigate barriers to recovery, offering strategies to clients and their families to enhance coping skills and resilience.
• Educate family members and primary caregivers on how to support their loved ones through mental health challenges.

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Allied Behavioral Health Center, you will work with a diverse clientele, including individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, trauma, substance use disorders, and other mental health challenges. Our telehealth model allows us to reach individuals from various backgrounds, enhancing our impact on the community by making mental health services more accessible to those in need.

• A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.
• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) within the state of Florida.
• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
• Demonstrated clinical experience in mental health counseling with a thorough understanding of evidence-based practices.
• Working proficiency with electronic health record systems, preferably with AVATAR.
• Strong knowledge of mental health disorders as well as co-occurring physical health conditions and addiction disorders.
• Familiarity with best practices as outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, coupled with exceptional interpersonal skills and a compassionate nature.

• A minimum of two years of professional experience in mental health counseling.
• Experience in a telehealth setting is highly desirable, enhancing the ability to adapt treatment strategies for virtual platforms.
• Knowledge of case management and treatment coordination within a multidisciplinary team.

The salary range for this position is competitive, between $80,000 and $100,000 annually, with a sign-on bonus available for qualified candidates.
