Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of clients’ mental health, identifying specific needs and developing tailored treatment plans.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic approaches to guide clients through issues related to anxiety, depression, substance abuse, and eating disorders.
• Facilitate regular individual and group therapy sessions, providing clients with coping strategies and tools necessary for improvement.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals as needed, including psychiatrists and primary care physicians, to ensure comprehensive care.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records, documenting client progress and treatment outcomes in compliance with best practices and legal standards.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and attend team meetings to discuss clinical strategies and enhance service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Allied Behavioral Health Center, you will work with a varied clientele, including individuals struggling with a spectrum of mental health issues. Your practice will cater to adults, adolescents, and families, ensuring that each client receives personalized attention and support tailored to their unique backgrounds and experiences.

Qualifications

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• A current and valid license as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in the state of New York.
• At least four years of relevant experience in a mental health setting, showcasing your ability to handle a diverse range of cases.
• A strong foundation in mental health disorders, treatment modalities, and culturally responsive practices to meet the needs of our client population.
• Excellent crisis intervention skills and a calm demeanor in high-pressure situations.
• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and various computer applications.
• A commitment to maintaining ethical standards, confidentiality, and professional boundaries in all interactions.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in delivering therapy in both individual and group settings, utilizing trauma-informed care approaches.
• A track record of successful collaboration within multidisciplinary health teams.
• Proficiency in telehealth platforms and digital communication tools.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $70,000 to $100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
