Cardinal Behavioral Health Center is actively looking for a dedicated, Licensed Mental Health Counselor who will work within our remote Community Health Clinic, offering high-quality mental health services to our diverse clientele. This is a full-time position based in Chattanooga, Tennessee, where you will leverage a collaborative and evidence-based approach to help clients overcome various psychological challenges. The role offers an annual salary ranging from USD 70,000 to 100,000, depending on experience and qualifications.

This position is designed to be fully remote, allowing you the flexibility to work from home while still engaging in meaningful therapeutic relationships with clients. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team that collaborates virtually to discuss treatment plans, share best practices, and ensure comprehensive client care. Our technology infrastructure includes state-of-the-art electronic health record (EHR) systems that support efficient communication, documentation, and tracking of client progress, ensuring that you can focus primarily on your clinical responsibilities.

• Conduct initial assessments and ongoing evaluations to determine the mental health status of clients.
• Develop personalized treatment plans based on individual needs, symptoms, and evidence-based methodologies.
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, providing a safe environment for clients to explore their thoughts and feelings.
• Implement effective crisis intervention strategies and maintain a calm demeanor in challenging situations.
• Collaborate regularly with psychiatrists and other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care for clients, including referrals as necessary.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient interactions and progress notes in our EHR system.

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Cardinal Behavioral Health Center, you will work with a varied patient population, including but not limited to individuals facing substance abuse issues, anxiety disorders, depression, and eating disorders. Your capacity to connect with clients from diverse backgrounds and experiences will be crucial in fostering their mental health journey and promoting recovery.

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• A current and valid state license as an LMFT, LPC/MHSP, LPC, or LCSW.
• A minimum of four years of relevant clinical experience in the mental health field.

• Experience working with a broad spectrum of mental health disorders and treatment methodologies.
• Demonstrated competence in providing culturally responsive therapy and being aware of cultural nuances affecting mental health.
• Strong skills in crisis intervention and conflict resolution.
• Proficiency with electronic health record systems and telehealth platforms.
