The Rehabilitation Technician Purpose is to Perform a wide variety of duties in support of therapeutic treatment of adults in a residential substance use and mental health rehabilitation program.
Reports to Program Director
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assists staff as needed.
- Answers the telephone and greets visitors.
- Transports residents according to crew list and driving schedule.
- Monitors residents for behavioral patterns and reports observations to staff.
- Oversees client participation in recovery activities according to the daily program schedule.
- Records relevant activities in the log book.
- Supervises the self-administration of medication by residents and maintains records in accordance with specified procedures.
- Supervises random drug screens as directed.
- Completes admission and discharge duties as assigned.
- Regularly inspects, documents, and reports facility and vehicle problems to appropriate staff.
- Enforces program rules and agency policies.
- Distributes supplies to residents as assigned.
- Monitors facility, grounds, and vehicles to ensure safety and security.
General Duties & Responsibilities:
- Notifies pertinent staff of important information.
- Attends required meetings.
- Performs tasks and duties as assigned.
- Maintains knowledge of agency’s policies and procedures.
- Ability to maintain client confidentiality.
- Ability to apply appropriate judgment and care in the performance of duties.
- Adheres to all federal, state, and local health codes and standards.
- Remains in compliance with required qualifications, certifications, licenses, trainings, education, registration, etc.
- Acts as a liaison for the agency.
- Maintains accurate client records.
Required Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent skills
- Valid driver license with appropriate passenger endorsement
- Good driving record
- MUST pass background check and urine screen
