World Fuel is seeking a strategic and commercially minded aviation fuel leader to oversee our U.S. aviation fuel supply portfolio and help drive the next phase of growth across our commercial aviation business.

This highly visible leadership role sits at the intersection of supply, trading, commercial strategy, sales support, and supplier relationship management. The Vice President, Aviation Fuel Supply & Commercial Strategy will play a critical role in shaping supply strategy, developing market opportunities, strengthening supplier partnerships, and supporting profitable portfolio growth across North America.

Reporting directly to the SVP of Supply & Trading, this leader will partner closely with Sales, Trading, Logistics, Risk, and Commercial teams to ensure World Fuel remains a preferred partner for customers, suppliers, FBOs, and aviation industry stakeholders.

What You'll DoLead Aviation Fuel Supply Strategy
  • Develop and execute aviation fuel supply strategies across bulk fuel, into-wing, and airport fuel networks.
  • Evaluate supply opportunities, supplier capabilities, pricing structures, and logistics alternatives.
  • Partner with Trading, Logistics, Risk, and Commercial teams to optimize portfolio performance and supply economics.
  • Monitor market trends, pricing dynamics, and competitive activity to inform strategic decision-making.
Drive Commercial Growth & Opportunity Development
  • Partner closely with Sales leadership on customer opportunities, bid responses, pricing strategies, and go-to-market plans.
  • Support the evaluation, structuring, and execution of complex customer opportunities.
  • Identify new supply opportunities and market expansion initiatives.
  • Provide commercial insights that support profitable portfolio growth.
Build Strategic Supplier Relationships
  • Serve as the primary executive contact for key fuel suppliers and strategic partners.
  • Negotiate supply agreements and commercial arrangements.

What We're Looking ForRequired Experience
  • 10+ years of experience in aviation fuel supply, refined products supply, trading, logistics, aviation fuel procurement, or related disciplines.
  • Significant experience within aviation fuels, commercial aviation, energy, trading, or refined products markets.
  • Demonstrated success managing supplier relationships and negotiating commercial agreements.
  • Experience supporting commercial growth initiatives, customer opportunities, and strategic portfolio development.
  • Proven experience leading high-performing teams.
  • Strong understanding of supply economics, logistics networks, and market fundamentals.
Preferred Experience
  • Aviation fuel trading experience.
  • Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) experience.
  • Refined products trading and logistics experience.
