What is a Remote Automation job?

A Remote Automation job involves designing, developing, and maintaining automated systems and workflows from a remote location. This can include tasks such as scripting, testing, process automation, and managing automation tools to improve efficiency and reduce manual work. Roles in this field often require expertise in programming languages, automation frameworks, and cloud-based services. Industries like software development, IT, customer support, and manufacturing use remote automation to streamline operations.

What are the typical daily responsibilities of a Remote Automation specialist?

A Remote Automation specialist typically spends their day designing, developing, and maintaining automated processes or test scripts tailored to organizational workflows. This often involves collaborating with software engineers, QA teams, or operations staff through virtual meetings, code reviews, and agile task management systems. The role may also include monitoring automation results, troubleshooting failures, and proactively identifying opportunities for process optimization. Flexible communication and proactive documentation are key, as much of the interaction happens asynchronously across distributed teams.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in the Remote Automation position, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Remote Automation professional, you need expertise in scripting languages (such as Python or JavaScript), automation frameworks, and a strong understanding of systems integration, typically supported by relevant experience or a technical degree. Familiarity with tools like Selenium, Jenkins, Docker, and sometimes certifications in cloud platforms or automation technologies are highly valued. Excellent problem-solving, attention to detail, and self-motivation are vital soft skills for remote success. These abilities ensure efficient deployment, troubleshooting, and scaling of automated solutions in distributed work environments.

  • Partner with Data & Analytics to improve financial metrics, data quality, dashboards, and self-service reporting.
  • Drive strategic investment analysis, resource allocation, and performance management across the business.
  • Support complex commercial decisions and strategic initiatives through financial modeling and cross-functional partnership.
  • Continuously improve finance processes, reporting, and operating leverage through technology and automation.
What Makes You a Great Fit:
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in Finance, Strategy, FP&A, or Corporate Finance within high-growth SaaS or technology companies.
  • Proven experience partnering with executive leadership to influence strategic business decisions.
  • Strong financial modeling, planning, forecasting, and scenario analysis expertise.
  • Experience building scalable finance processes and improving operational efficiency through automation.
  • Passion for leveraging AI, automation, and modern technologies to transform Finance.

  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and business judgment with the ability to simplify complex decisions.
  • Strong communication and executive storytelling skills with the ability to influence across all levels of the organization.
  • Experience collaborating across Sales, Customer Success, Product, Operations, and Data teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • High integrity, ownership, curiosity, and a continuous improvement mindset.
