Responsible for identifying key people to bring about change and develops a network of contacts and targets specific people to achieve project goals and objectives.

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

• Manages projects across business units, regions or the enterprise; influences at all levels within the organization, often setting strategy and direction.

• Coaches and mentors project team members; mentors other project managers around project management methodology.

• Determines project scope; develops resource, risk, quality, cost, and scope management plans; develops training plans; defines, recommends and secures contractual agreements for services and products; coordinates requirements, schedules implementation and post-implement plans.

• Develops service-level agreements for vendor partners and global resources firms; develops requirements documents; develops project approval matrix; identifies project team training and tool needs; defines quality gates for each project methodology phase; defines critical success factors; establishes and manages the project warranty period.

• Associates in these jobs must follow the specific policies, procedures, guidelines, etc. as stated by the Government Business Division in which they are employed.

Requirements:

• Requires a BA/BS in a related field and minimum of 9 years professional project management experience, which at least 7 years are spent leading and directing large project tasks; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.

• Awareness of significant contributing factors to manage project change and demonstration of a solid understanding of end-to-end business processes and the critical IT dependencies strongly preferred.

• Master's in project Mgt preferred. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred. If this job is assigned to any Government Business Division entity, the applicant and incumbent fall under a 'sensitive position' work designation and may be subject to additional requirements beyond those associates outside Government Business Divisions.

• Requirements include but are not limited to more stringent and frequent background checks and/or government clearances, segregation of duties principles, role specific training, monitoring of daily job functions, and sensitive data handling instructions.

• Candidates MUST have provider domain knowledge and health plan experience.

• Candidates must be able to act quickly, problem solve, hold team members accountable, escalate issues, when necessary, have difficult conversations, be able to connect the dots, and speak to both business and IT.

• Candidate must be familiar with creating decks, communications, agendas, and such for Executives/SLT team members on top of the other skills listed.
  

Job Type: Possible contract to hire

Additional Details:

• Work schedule: Mon- Fri, 8am-5pm, EST or CST

• Candidates must reside within 50 miles or 1-hour commute each way of a relevant Elevance Health location.
  

Elevance Health operates in a Hybrid Workforce Strategy. Unless specified as primarily virtual by the hiring manager, contractors are required to work at an Elevance Health location at least once per week, and potentially several times per week. Specific requirements and expectations for time onsite will be discussed as part of the hiring process.
