We are partnering with a well-established public accounting firm seeking a Tax Accountant with 3-5 years of public accounting experience to join its growing team. This position offers the flexibility of working remotely for qualified candidates, along with exposure to a wide variety of tax planning, compliance, and advisory engagements.
Responsibilities
  • Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for corporations, partnerships, S corporations, and individuals
  • Prepare complex individual tax returns for business owners, executives, and high-net-worth clients
  • Research tax issues and assist with tax planning and consulting projects
  • Communicate directly with clients via phone, email, and virtual meetings
  • Collaborate with partners and senior staff on client engagements and advisory initiatives
  • Ensure timely and accurate compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations
  • Assist with special tax projects and client consulting engagements
  • Manage multiple deadlines while maintaining exceptional accuracy and attention to detail

Requirements
  • 3-5 years of public accounting experience focused on tax
  • Experience preparing business entity and complex individual tax returns
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • CPA license or active CPA candidate preferred
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while effectively managing priorities
  • Must reside within the Eastern or Central time zone
