Job Title: Sr. Manager, Digital Accounts, Order to Cash
A little bit about our team:
Warner Music's Nashville Shared Services Center (SSC) is the home to the financial and administrative functions that provide critical support and best-in-class services to our US, Canadian, and Latin American Recorded Music and Publishing businesses. The Nashville Center embodies the innovative and creative spirit that stems from the company's deep history in nurturing entrepreneurial thinking and artist-focused innovation, enabling our employees to develop a wide range of skills through cross-function collaboration and development opportunities.
Your role:
If you are an amazing Order-To-Cash (OTC) leader who wants to deliver technical and process oriented solutions within our regional center, then keep reading!
Here you'll get to:
  • Lead the Digital and Royalty Stream AR team and ensure operational tasks are being completed as required. Candidate will own and be responsible for invoices, collections, cash application, Revenue Assurance and risk assessments. Candidate will also play an active role in cash forecasting, bad debt management, and will liaise with various stakeholders within and outside the organization.
  • Facilitate setup and tracking of new accounts and maintain relationships with DSPs and licensing and sync partners for the Recorded Music and Publishing segments.
  • Provide input and analysis relating to risk of Digital Accounts as needed and overall management of the Risk Review schedule and timeline for the Digital portfolio.
  • Serve as primary contact for SSC Accounting, Legal, Finance, Legal and Business Teams.
  • Review contracts for terms, advances, payments, reporting, and pricing for use in various tracking and reconciliation projects.
  • Manage and track Invoice Advance/Guarantees, Formatting, and Prep Fees to insure timely payment.
  • Implement, translate and review contractual language for royalty related revenue stream customers and other partners.
  • Accurately record and report all digital revenues by media type and ensure that all cash is properly applied and required triggers for revenue recognition are met.
  • Lead and develop both internal and offshore resources
  • Assist in preparing Cash Forecasts for significant revenue streams associated with our industry in partnership with FP&A
  • Prepare accruals for outstanding unprocessed or revised sales reporting files.
  • Work with customers to resolve account discrepancies and collect any additional monies.
  • Ensure proper tracking of income for cash projection and application references.
  • Oversee daily cash reporting, and other follow-up processes as needed.
  • Manage preparation of invoices for pricing, manifest, suspense, compliance and/or product code issues, when required.
  • Develop efficient, innovative ways to streamline and improve processes around use and storage of data reported, i.e. Current List, Digital Income and other excel spreadsheets currently in use.
  • Concentrate on cleanup activities while maintaining an eye on process improvement possibilities.
  • Leading account review, cash forecast and bad debt meetings with Corporate Controllership and Finance Shared Service Leadership.
  • Facilitate monthly royalty payments for promotional funds, rights holders, and other internal payees as needed.
  • Support revenue recognition function where applicable.
  • Own and review SOX controls established and operating over the Digital portfolio

About you:
  • 10 years of progressive experience in Finance Operations, shared services, revenue recognition, accounts receivable, and related OTC processes or revenue accounting.
  • Minimum of five years leading large teams including outsourced support resources
  • Deep expertise in SAP S/4 Hanna
  • Expert process knowledge of the sub-towers: Customer Master Data, Credit Management, Billing, Collections, Dispute Management, and Cash Application.
  • Bachelor's degree required (Finance preferred)
  • Strong understanding of internal controls, data governance, and SOX compliance.
  • Well versed in data analytics with proficiency with BI software, Excel, or other tools to construct data matching models.

We'd love it if you also had:
  • Deep understanding of ASC 606 (US GAAP) and/or IFRS 15(Revenue from contracts with Customers.)
  • Detailed understanding of Music Industry revenue streams
  • MBA in Finance
  • Working knowledge of Music Industry meta data on products, tracks, and other artist related works.
