Duties
Help
  • You will respond to and investigates complaints while interpreting and enforcing state and federal laws, the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ), DoD and Navy regulations, and installation directives, rules and regulations.
  • You will detect and investigate unusual situations/conditions; takes required action to resolve various incidents/situations and requests additional support.
  • You will perform traffic law enforcement using specialized equipment such as radar, breathalyzer, and must be qualified/certified in these specialized areas and on the necessary equipment.
  • You will use computer equipment and specialized web-based law enforcement programs to fuse intelligence and establish, update, query or print individual or
    vehicle registration and other law enforcement sensitive information.
  • You will perform force protection, anti-terrorism and sentry duties at installations with operational assets, unrestricted access points, large populations onboard the installation in order to deter, detect, delay and deny unauthorized access.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver's license.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • FLETC is required

Qualifications
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-6 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Performing law enforcement (LE), physical security (PS), antiterrorism (AT), and force protection (FP) functions; 2) Conducting preliminary and/or ongoing investigations of incidents regarding unusual situations and/or violations of the law; 3) Conducting checkpoints/roadblocks at various locations to reduce criminal activity; 4) Inspecting packages/personal belongings when admitting personnel into controlled areas; and 5) Responding to emergency calls for service while adhering to state and federal laws. **NOTE: This experience must be fully and clearly supported in your resume.
