What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Remote Ansys Simulation Engineer, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Remote Ansys Simulation Engineer, you need a strong background in engineering principles, finite element analysis (FEA), and proficiency in simulation modeling, typically supported by a relevant degree in mechanical, aerospace, or civil engineering. Expertise in using Ansys software suites, familiarity with CAD tools, and sometimes professional certifications like Ansys Certified Expert are highly valued. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and self-management skills help you effectively collaborate and deliver results in a remote work environment. These skills and tools are essential for producing accurate simulations, ensuring project efficiency, and maintaining effective remote teamwork.

What are some common challenges faced when working remotely as an Ansys Simulation Engineer, and how can they be addressed?

Remote Ansys Simulation Engineers frequently encounter challenges related to collaboration, communication, and access to high-performance computing resources. Since simulation projects often require close coordination with product design, testing, and manufacturing teams, it’s important to proactively schedule regular video meetings and use collaborative platforms to stay aligned. Additionally, ensuring a stable internet connection and secure remote access to company servers or cloud-based simulation environments can help overcome technical barriers. Building strong virtual relationships with colleagues and seeking out mentorship or training opportunities online can further enhance both workflow efficiency and professional growth.

What is a Remote Ansys Simulation job?

A Remote Ansys Simulation job involves using Ansys software to perform engineering simulations such as structural, thermal, fluid dynamics, or electromagnetic analyses from a remote location. Professionals in this role set up, run, and interpret simulation models to help design and optimize products or processes for clients or employers. Job description

Senior Sales Account Executive

Location: NYC or Boston Metro Area (Remote)-NYC or Boston Metro Area (Remote)
Employment Type: Full-Time | Direct Hire
Compensation: $110,000 base

About the Role

A fast-growing deep-tech company at the forefront of the quantum computing revolution is expanding its commercial team in the US. The company has developed an advanced software platform that enables enterprises to design, optimize, and deploy quantum applications across multiple hardware architectures — bridging the gap between cutting-edge quantum research and real-world business impact.

Already working with leading global enterprises and government organizations, the company is entering a major growth phase and looking for an experienced enterprise seller to help drive category adoption. Sellers who join now will build the playbook rather than executing a rigid one — a true market inflection point opportunity.

Responsibilities
  • Own the full enterprise sales cycle from prospecting through close
  • Drive strategic conversations with technical and business stakeholders
  • Help shape GTM strategy, vertical positioning, and category growth
  • Represent the company at key industry and technology events
  • Engage technical buyers, engineers, scientists, and executive stakeholders across VP/C-suite levels
Requirements
  • 8+ years of enterprise and/or ecosystem software sales experience
  • Proven track record closing complex Fortune 500 deals above $200K ACV — specific named logos and numbers required
  • Experience selling in an emerging or pre-mainstream category where buyer education was a core part of the role
  • Demonstrated ability to sell to technical buyers, engineers, scientists, or PhD-level decision-makers
  • Experience managing multi-stakeholder enterprise deals with both technical champions and economic buyers
  • Background in quantum computing, AI/ML infrastructure, HPC, EDA tools (Synopsys, Cadence, Ansys), or advanced simulation — strong advantage
  • Comfort operating with a fast-evolving playbook in a highly agile startup environment
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Must be local to NYC or Boston metro — no relocation, no sponsorship
Bonus Points
  • Technical degree and/or MBA preferred
  • Experience at a company building a new enterprise software category
  • Deep familiarity with target verticals: chemicals & materials, advanced manufacturing, healthcare & life sciences, financial services, or aerospace & defense
  • Prior quota north of $2M ARR with documented attainment history
Why This Role
  • Technically defensible product already trusted by enterprise buyers who have completed serious diligence
  • Strong reference list of named logos — credibility compounding is already underway
  • Leadership team and board that understand enterprise GTM and will invest in your success
  • Genuine path to sales leadership for the person who builds the engine here
