Job description

ProperExpression | Full-Time | Fully Remote

About ProperExpression

ProperExpression is a fully remote growth marketing agency specializing in the wealth management ecosystem - RIAs, independent broker-dealers, and WealthTech companies. RevOps is one of our five core service pillars, and our clients trust us to run their revenue infrastructure end to end, from CRM architecture to marketing automation to full-funnel reporting. We're a HubSpot Platinum partner, and HubSpot is the center of gravity for most of our client work. But our clients increasingly live in both worlds, and we're expanding into more Salesforce integration work. That's where you come in.

About the Role

We're hiring a Senior RevOps Solutions Architect who can straddle the HubSpot and Salesforce worlds with equal comfort. You'll design complex integration solutions and get hands-on building them - this is not a whiteboard-only architect role, and it's not a ticket-taking admin role either. You'll join client calls as the technical authority in the room: running discovery, walking through solution designs, training client teams, and answering the hard questions. Our account team owns the overall client relationship, so you can focus on what you do best.If you've built the HubSpot-Salesforce integration more times than you can count, you've guided developers through custom API work without writing the code yourself, and you're equally at home in Marketing Hub and Marketing Cloud, this role was written for you.

What You'll Do
  • Architect, build, and maintain complex HubSpot instances: CRM structure, marketing automation, lead scoring, lifecycle stages, custom objects, workflows, and reporting
  • Build complex reporting that goes beyond a dashboard: spot data issues before we have to find them, QA reports because you understand the client's business, and flag what additional analysis needs digging into so our Account Strategists and Account Directors can pick it up from there
  • Design and execute HubSpot-Salesforce integrations end to end: field mapping, sync logic, deduplication, and troubleshooting sync errors in production environments
  • Lead custom API integrations: scope the solution, define the architecture and data flows, and guide developers through implementation. You won't write production code, but you'll own the design and be the person devs come to with questions
  • Handle integrations beyond the native connector: middleware (Zapier, Make, Workato), APIs, and third-party tools across the client's stack
  • Build marketing automation programs in both HubSpot Marketing Hub and Salesforce Marketing Cloud: nurture sequences, campaign infrastructure, attribution
  • Join client calls as the technical lead: discovery and scoping sessions, solution walkthroughs, trainings, and troubleshooting conversations, while our account team owns the day-to-day relationship
  • Audit client portals and tech stacks, diagnose problems, and present clear recommendations
  • Support account consolidations, portal migrations, and multi-system integrations during M&A activity, rebrands, or restructures
  • Collaborate with our strategy, content, and paid media teams so RevOps work supports the full engagement
  • Manage and QA the work of our HubSpot specialist, reviewing builds, workflows, and reporting before they reach the client
What We're Looking For
  • 5+ years of hands-on RevOps, marketing ops, or CRM architecture experience
  • Deep, expert-level HubSpot experience across Marketing Hub, Sales Hub, and Operations Hub. You should be the person others come to with HubSpot questions
  • Strong Salesforce proficiency: objects, fields, flows, permissions, and reporting. You can hold your own in a Salesforce org without hand-holding
  • Proven, repeated experience building and maintaining the HubSpot-Salesforce integration in production, plus other integrations across the RevOps stack
  • Experience leading custom API integrations: you can read API documentation, design the data architecture, and direct developers, even though you're not the one writing code
  • Working experience with both HubSpot Marketing Hub and Salesforce Marketing Cloud
  • Confident client-facing communication: you can run the technical portion of a call, explain your decisions in business language, and push back when needed
  • Comfortable managing multiple client engagements at an agency pace
  • HubSpot certifications strongly preferred; Salesforce Admin certification a plus
Big Bonus
  • Experience with Salesforce Financial Services Cloud (FSC). Our clients are RIAs, broker-dealers, and WealthTechs, so FSC experience puts you at the front of the line
You're Probably a Fit If
  • HubSpot is your home base, but you're just as comfortable in a Salesforce org
  • You've untangled a broken HubSpot-Salesforce sync more than once and know where the bodies are buried
  • You like designing the solution AND building it - you don't consider hands-on work beneath you, and you don't hide from architecture decisions either
  • You've sat between business stakeholders and developers on an API integration and translated fluently in both directions
  • You've worked in an agency or consultancy, or supported multiple business units, and know how to context-switch
You're Probably Not a Fit If
  • Your HubSpot experience is limited to sending emails and building basic workflows
  • You've only ever touched Salesforce through a sync you didn't set up
  • You want to design solutions but hand off all the execution, or execute specs without owning the design
  • You prefer to work behind the scenes and avoid client calls entirely
  • You need detailed instructions before starting a project
Why ProperExpression
  • Fully remote team of ~25 with a strong operating rhythm
  • Deep specialization in a growing niche (wealth management and WealthTech)
  • HubSpot Platinum partnership with direct access to partner resources, and a real opportunity to shape our expanding Salesforce practice
  • Senior-level autonomy: you own your solutions and your technical decisions
  • Competitive compensation based on experience
