Job description

Technical Delivery Manager - Enterprise Web ProjectsProject-based Role • Hourly • New Role • Native English
Clay is a global design agency creating world-class digital products and brands. Our clients include Meta, Slack, Google, Snapchat, Amazon, Coinbase, and a range of innovative startups.
We are looking for a Technical Delivery Manager with strong client-facing and technical consulting experience. As we grow our enterprise client base, we need a contractor who can confidently represent Clay in technical discussions, respond to client requests, and ensure we meet the delivery and compliance standards expected at this level.
This role does not exist within Clay today. The right person will act as a bridge between our internal development team and our clients, translating technical decisions, coordinating technical discussions, managing post-launch obligations, and proactively flagging risks before they become blockers.
What you will do:
  • Represent Clay in enterprise client calls covering deployment, integrations, performance, security, compliance, and infrastructure topics;
  • Act as a bridge between client stakeholders and Clay's development team;
  • Prepare client-facing technical documentation, including implementation approaches, platform recommendations, technical requirements, and integration overviews;
  • Review technical documentation before client delivery and identify gaps, inconsistencies, or missing information;
  • Respond to client questions regarding security, analytics, integrations, hosting, and platform capabilities;
  • Evaluate and document technology platform recommendations, including CMS selection and migration considerations;
  • Support discussions around SSO, identity management, hosting infrastructure, and deployment planning;
  • Facilitate release planning discussions and coordinate between client stakeholders and Clay's development team;
  • Conduct post-launch reviews and prepare supporting reports and documentation;
  • Support analytics, privacy, and localization initiatives by coordinating requirements, validating implementations, and gathering information needed for client and internal teams.

Requirements
You are a perfect fit if you have:
  • Experience serving as a technical point of contact between clients and engineering or delivery teams;
  • Experience leading technical discussions with enterprise stakeholders;
  • Experience creating technical documentation for client-facing projects;
  • Ability to translate technical discussions into clear, structured, and professional documentation;
  • Strong understanding of modern web platforms and architectures, including Next.js / React-based websites;
  • Familiarity with headless CMS platforms such as Sanity and website migration projects;
  • Experience with analytics and tag management tools (GA4, GTM, Heap, or similar);
  • Understanding of technical SEO, website performance validation, and post-launch support activities;
  • Familiarity with privacy and consent management solutions such as OneTrust;
  • Understanding of hosting environments, CDNs, third-party integrations, and authentication systems (SSO, Okta, Azure AD, etc.);
  • Attention to detail and ability to identify risks, gaps, and implementation considerations before they impact delivery;
  • Strong client-facing English, both written and spoken.

Good to have:
  • Experience in a design or development agency environment
  • Familiarity with WCAG accessibility standards
  • Experience with enterprise CMS, e-commerce, ticketing, or CRM platforms
  • Familiarity with technical SEO concepts
  • Exposure to enterprise SEO or performance monitoring tools

Benefits
Engagement & Working model:
  • Remote Project-based role
  • Collaboration with distributed teams and enterprise clients
  • US time zone overlap required
