Job description

Exciting opportunity to support our global Amazon Private Brands business, as lead product counsel! You will provide legal guidance on product and service launches, regulatory issues, and advice on commercial and compliance related initiatives for business. Help us build more products that customers love!
Key job responsibilities
- Support business leaders as lead counsel on product development right through to launch.
- Counsel on regulatory and compliance matters, respond to regulatory inquiries.
- Provide day-to-day, customer-focused advice.
- Handle pre-litigation legal disputes and inquiries.
- Some domestic and international travel will be required.
A day in the life
This role covers the full spectrum of legal issues faced by the business, including new product development, catalog quality, localization, contract negotiation, and supply chain issues. You will collaborate with numerous teams across Amazon including Social Responsibility, Sustainability, IP, Privacy, Competition, Product Safety and Compliance.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of legal experience
- Juris Doctor and membership in one state bar or equivalent
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience of a mix of corporate law firm and in-house work
- Experience handling ambiguous or undefined challenges through strong problem solving abilities
- Experience working cross functionally across several teams
- Experience managing multiple projects, prioritizing, planning, and managing time
- Experience that includes strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities
- Consensus builder who can effectively collaborate and build relationships with attorneys and business leaders throughout the organization
- Proven ability to identify optimal solutions, including novel, creative and innovative solutions to complex issues

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
