Job Title

Manager, Digital Merchandising & Channel Strategy

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly strategic, detail-oriented, and proactive leader to support our digital business across Ecommerce, Amazon, and Dropship channels. This role will report directly to the Director of Digital Brand Strategy and serve as a key connector across channels, ensuring assortment alignment, pricing discipline, margin integrity, and compelling merchandising execution. This individual will help create a cohesive but differentiated channel strategy, ensuring each business has the right product assortment, pricing architecture, and storytelling to maximize growth while protecting profitability. The ideal candidate blends strong merchant instincts, analytical capability, exceptional Excel skills, and digital business acumen. Amazon experience is strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

Channel Strategy & Assortment Congruity

  • Partner across Ecommerce, Amazon, and Dropship teams to ensure assortments are strategically differentiated by channel
  • Identify duplication risks, whitespace opportunities, and channel-specific product needs
  • Help build clear channel strategies that maximize total company sales while minimizing internal competition
  • Recommend pre-season and in-season assortment shifts based on selling trends and customer behavior

Pricing & Margin Governance

  • Monitor pricing across Amazon, Ecommerce, and Dropship accounts to ensure consistency where needed and strategic separation where beneficial
  • Ensure internal margin targets are being met across channels
  • Track and support compliance with guaranteed margin agreements and account-specific profitability thresholds within Dropship
  • Flag pricing conflicts, margin erosion, and promotional risks proactively with recommendations

Merchandising & Storytelling

  • Create seasonal and monthly merchandising stories that align product, trend, and customer demand
  • Build merchandising decks and presentations for the Ecommerce team to support site storytelling and campaign execution
  • Recommend homepage, category, and collection strategies pre-season and in-season
  • Translate sales data into customer-facing product stories that drive conversion

Amazon & Ecommerce Business Support

  • Support Amazon and Ecommerce performance reviews across sales, conversion, traffic, inventory, and profitability
  • Identify opportunities to improve catalog productivity, pricing, promotional strategy, and assortment mix
  • Assist with launches, key events, and in-season opportunities

Planning Partnership

  • Partner closely with Planning, but not own planning functions directly
  • Come to meetings with informed recommendations around buys, inventory flow, markdowns, and replenishment actions
  • Use data and merchant judgment to influence decisions with the Planning team

Qualifications

  • 4+ years experience in Ecommerce, Amazon, Buying, Merchandising, or Retail Strategy
  • Strong Excel skills required (pivot tables, lookups, formulas, reporting)
  • Amazon experience strongly preferred
  • Background in merchandising, buying, or retail planning highly preferred
  • Strong eye for product and storytelling
  • Ability to build polished decks and present ideas clearly
  • Highly proactive, self-directed, and solutions oriented
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Experience in footwear, fashion, accessories, or consumer goods preferred

Success Profile

This person is:

  • Proactive and brings solutions before being asked
  • Strong merchant with commercial instincts
  • Analytical and comfortable in spreadsheets
  • Able to balance creativity with profitability
  • Strong presenter and communicator
  • Obsessed with details and execution
  • Comfortable operating cross-functionally in a fast-moving environment

What We Offer

  • Comprehensive Health & Wellness Benefits, including medical, dental, vision, and supplemental insurance
  • 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan with company match
  • Generous Paid Time Off (PTO) and paid holidays
