About the Facility:
Our client has been serving the local Miami/Kendall area for over 17 years, with their prime focus to offer the best in both Medical breast imaging expertise as well as leading-edge technology to complement one another. Our focus on breast imaging lets our patients know they are in the hands of experts in the realm of breast imaging. Currently, we are looking for an individual to fulfill our remote need who is board certified through the American Board of Radiology with a focus on breast imaging, fellowship-trained.
Radiology Physician - RESPONSIBILITIES (listed are included but not limited to)
  • The Radiology Physician provides comprehensive radiological interpretation of studies for inpatients and outpatients of all ages, from newborn to elderly. Serve as a radiological consultant with emphasis in breast imaging to government medical personnel, physicians, and ancillary providers across all referring facilities.
  • Obtain patient history for radiographic diagnosis, perform physical examinations if required, and obtain necessary laboratory test results.
  • Assess the severity of illness and, when appropriate, contact patients and referring physicians to provide study results.
  • Oversee radiographic examinations to ensure correct procedures are conducted, relating symptoms to the pain and/or illness of the patient.
  • Provide consultation, reporting radiological diagnostic examinations, delivering interpretation of studies, and diagnosing X-rays.
  • The Radiology Physician recommends and directs patient care and treatment, consulting with the requesting physician before a procedure to minimize patient invasion.
  • Submit Diagnostic Radiology reports through electronic or transcription dictation, handwritten, or typed as per Departmental SOPs set by the Chief, Department of Radiology.
  • The Radiology Physician provides technical direction for technologists and ancillary personnel in the department during their duties.

Radiology Physician - REQUIREMENTS
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year as a Radiology Physician within the last 2 years.
  • Education:
    • Completion of a Radiology residency program.
    • Completion of a Fellowship program in breast imaging.
  • Board Certification: Must be Board Certified in Radiology by ABR or AOBR.
  • License: Must have an active, unrestricted medical license from the state of Florida
  • BLS Certification: Must have a current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Specialization (Optional): Experience in diagnostic radiology, CT, ultrasound, 3D Tomosynthesis mammography, and MRI is desirable.
