This position is remote, enabling counselors to create their own work schedules while enjoying a balanced professional and personal life. The outpatient nature of our services ensures you will engage primarily with clients in a one-on-one setting through virtual platforms, helping them navigate their unique paths to recovery. Each clinician is supported by our dedicated administrative staff who handle billing and operational logistics, allowing counselors to focus solely on patient care.

• Conduct individual counseling sessions, focusing on strategies and interventions tailored to each client’s needs.
• Receive compensation for late cancellations or no-shows, ensuring a fair approach to scheduling.
• Participate in ongoing professional development by obtaining CEU credits annually, with all associated costs covered by the organization.
• Facilitate support groups for clients as needed, providing an additional layer of community and understanding.
• Engage in collaborative efforts with our Content Manager to produce insightful materials that empower our clients.
• Streamline administrative processes through our support team, allowing you to concentrate on therapeutic work with clients.
• Work closely with Clinical Operations Teams, gaining access to a network of professionals for guidance and support.
• Participate in optional monthly peer group meetings to foster continuous learning and sharing of best practices.

Our clients typically seek to improve their relationship with alcohol, whether they aim for moderation or abstinence. As a Mental Health Counselor at Valley Healing Counseling Services, you will work with a diverse array of individuals who are navigating various stages of recovery. Understanding the principles of harm reduction is crucial, as many clients may express a desire to achieve moderation rather than outright abstinence. Familiarity with community recovery support options such as Alcoholics Anonymous, SMART Recovery, and Moderation Management will enhance your effectiveness in encouraging clients to leverage these resources alongside their treatment.

• A Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, or a related field is required.
• Valid licensure as an LCSW, LCSW-R, LMFT, or LMHC in the state of New York.
• Strong clinical engagement skills, demonstrating empathy and understanding in all interactions.
• Knowledge and experience with therapeutic modalities such as CBT, DBT, and Motivational Interviewing.

The ideal candidate will have at least three years of professional experience in mental health counseling. The salary range for this position is competitive, offering an annual salary between USD 80,000 and 100,000.
