Team Management: 3–4 Market Sales Managers (Brand Ambassadors/Activators)

About the Role

We are seeking a State Sales Manager – Florida to lead growth initiatives across the state for a globally recognized portfolio of premium wine and spirits. This high-impact leadership role will focus on driving sales, managing distributor and wholesaler relationships, and leading a team of Market Sales Managers. The position covers both on-premise and off-premise channels, ensuring executional excellence, visibility, and value across the full brand portfolio.


Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Regional Sales Manager to define and execute the annual sales strategy.

  • Manage, support, and mentor a team of 3–4 Market Sales Managers.

  • Drive sales performance across distributors, wholesalers, and key accounts.

  • Oversee execution by SKU, ensuring pricing, promotions, and merchandising are delivered effectively.

  • Build and strengthen relationships with distributors, wholesalers, and key customers.

  • Lead high-impact account calls and support sales activations.

  • Plan and execute POS, displays, consumer activations, and menu placements.

  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and new opportunities for growth.

  • Participate in sales planning, brand strategy sessions, and wholesaler meetings.

  • Manage budgets, expenses, and ROI with financial discipline.

  • Travel extensively throughout Florida (4–5 days per week) to oversee execution and support the team.


Qualifications

Essential:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in the alcoholic beverages industry.

  • Proven experience working with both suppliers and distributors.

  • Demonstrated success managing a state or regional territory.

  • Strong leadership with experience managing sales teams (3–4 direct reports).

  • Established industry network in Florida with the ability to drive momentum quickly.

  • Commercial expertise in volume, pricing, distribution, and promotional execution.

  • Strong leadership, coaching, and communication skills.

  • Entrepreneurial, self-starter mindset with the ability to operate independently.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively across Florida.

Preferred:

  • Experience activating premium spirits and wine brands across on- and off-premise channels.

  • Familiarity with field marketing, menu placements, and POS deployment.
