Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive, person-centered treatment plans that focus on recovery.
• Conduct ongoing assessments of clients' treatment needs to successfully adapt strategies as necessary.
• Assist in the development, execution, and evaluation of individual service plans.
• Guide clients in building essential coping, problem-solving, and communication skills through structured interventions.
• Educate clients about available community resources and advocate for their access to these services.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role specializes in working with individuals who face significant obstacles to community stability due to mental health challenges. As a Mental Health Counselor, you will work closely with clients to navigate their mental health journeys, offering empathy and practical strategies that help them thrive. Your contributions will play a vital role in helping clients achieve greater independence and overall quality of life.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree or higher in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.
• Current state licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Psychologist (PsyD).
• Ability to practice independently without supervision, demonstrating no disciplinary actions on the license.
• Expertise in providing direct clinical services to diverse populations.
• Strong interpersonal skills alongside a compassionate and understanding nature.
• Proficiency in computer systems and maintaining a reliable internet connection for remote work.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in conducting skill-building activities and enhancing caregiver roles.
• Knowledge and skills related to behavior and anger management techniques.
• Experience in symptom monitoring and crisis intervention methodologies.
• Expertise in family developmental issues and their impact on mental health.

Compensation and Benefits
