Key Responsibilities

As a Virtual Mental Health Counselor, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive assessments to develop individualized, recovery-focused treatment plans tailored to the unique needs of each client.
• Engaging with clients through video sessions to provide therapeutic support, focusing on coping strategies, problem-solving skills, and effective communication techniques.
• Continuously monitoring and reassessing clients' treatment needs and progress towards their goals to ensure the effectiveness of established plans.
• Collaborating with clients to create individual service plans that promote independence, including the development of essential life skills such as time management and leisure activities.
• Educating clients about community resources, connecting them with services and acting as an advocate to promote their holistic well-being.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily support adults aged 18 and older who are experiencing challenges related to mental illness. Many clients may struggle with issues such as depression, anxiety, substance abuse, and trauma. Your work will directly contribute to helping these individuals develop resilience and support their journey toward recovery, ultimately fostering greater community stability.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position, you must possess:

• A Master’s degree or higher in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.
• A current state license independently issued by the relevant state board as one of the following: LMFT, LPC, LCSW, or a Licensed Psychologist (PsyD).
• A commitment to maintaining professional ethics with no disciplinary actions against the license holder.
• The ability to practice independently without supervision, demonstrating strong decision-making skills.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, characterized by empathy, patience, and understanding.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, the following experiences would be advantageous:

• Direct clinical service experience in a mental health setting, ideally involving a diverse range of client backgrounds.
• Familiarity with therapeutic modalities that are effective in telehealth environments.
• A proficiency in digital platforms that support telehealth services.
• Experience collaborating in a multidisciplinary team setting to enhance service delivery.

Compensation and Benefits

Your dedication and expertise will be rewarded with a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 104,000. Additional benefits include:
