Responsibilities
Role Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented and results-driven Google My Business & Local Services Ads (LSA) Specialist to own and optimize our local digital presence. This role is critical to driving qualified inbound leads for our law firm by maximizing visibility in Google Search, Google Maps, and the LSA platform. You will be responsible for our GMB profile health, review strategy, and LSA campaign performance - directly impacting intake volume and client acquisition cost.
Key Responsibilities
Google Business Profile (GMB)
• Own and maintain the firm's Google Business Profile(s) - ensuring accuracy of all information, categories, service areas, and attributes
• Publish regular posts, Q&A updates, and service highlights to keep the profile active and optimized
• Develop and execute a structured review generation strategy to grow and maintain 4.5+ star ratings
• Respond to all Google reviews - positive and negative - in a professional, brand-appropriate tone
• Monitor and resolve any profile suspensions, ownership issues, or spam attacks
• Track profile insights (searches, views, calls, direction requests) and report on trends monthly
Local Services Ads (LSA)
• Set up, manage, and continuously optimize LSA campaigns across applicable practice areas
• Monitor lead quality, dispute invalid or spam leads through the LSA portal
• Maintain Google Screened / Google Guaranteed verification status and ensure profile compliance
• Optimize budget allocation across practice areas and geographies to minimize cost-per-lead
• Track LSA performance metrics (leads, cost, bookings) and report weekly
Reporting & Strategy
• Provide weekly and monthly performance reports covering GMB metrics, LSA leads, and cost-per-acquisition
• Identify opportunities to expand into new service areas or practice area campaigns
• Stay current on Google's local algorithm updates and LSA policy changes
• Collaborate with the intake team to ensure lead response time and conversion are optimized
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
• 2+ years of hands-on experience managing Google Business Profiles for service-based businesses
• Proven experience running and optimizing Local Services Ads campaigns
• Strong understanding of local SEO principles and Google's local ranking factors
• Experience with review management platforms (e.g., Broadly, Birdeye, NiceJob, or similar)
• Comfortable working with Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and GMB Insights
• Excellent written communication skills for review responses and profile content
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail
Nice to Have
• Experience in legal, healthcare, or other regulated industry marketing
• Familiarity with legal advertising compliance and ethics rules
• Experience with call tracking platforms (e.g., CallRail)
• Knowledge of broader local SEO (citations, NAP consistency, local link building)
• Familiarity with CRM or intake platforms (Clio, Lawmatics, HubSpot)
