About Vantage Data Centers

Vantage Data Centers powers, cools, protects and connects the technology of the world's well-known hyperscalers, cloud providers and large enterprises. Developing and operating across North America, EMEA and Asia Pacific, Vantage has evolved data center design in innovative ways to deliver dramatic gains in reliability, efficiency and sustainability in flexible environments that can scale as quickly as the market demands.

Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Department

The EHS team is responsible for collaborating with Construction, Operations, Contractors, Vendors, and various regulatory agencies to ensure the health, safety, and environmental risks of the company are protected and that everyone enjoys a safe and healthful workplace. At Vantage, health, safety, and environmental protection are a core value that guides everything we do. By leveraging every individual that works at Vantage to lean into safety initiatives, and by executing the executive mandate that Vantage will place safety at the forefront of everything we do, our employees and those we work with enjoy a safety culture that is deeply ingrained and expects excellence in safety. This excellence is achieved through constant vigilance, planning, training, measurement, and cooperation, all of which is aligned with operational and construction activities and goals.

Position Overview

This role can be remote or based in any of our US locations: Denver, CO; Phoenix, AZ; Quincy, WA; Santa Clara, CA; or Ashburn, VA.

The EHS Program Manager is responsible for coordinating and driving execution across the A&E portfolio of strategic initiatives. This role serves as the point of integration between functional strategy, project execution, business partnership, and workstream owners.

Working directly with the global EHS team, the Program Manager will translate strategic priorities into executable roadmaps, establish timelines, coordinate dependencies, monitor progress, and ensure accountability across multiple concurrent initiatives. The role does not own the technical or functional work itself, but instead ensures the right people, priorities, resources, and milestones remain aligned to deliver outcomes for the business.

Success in this position requires exceptional organizational skills, influence without authority, strong stakeholder management capabilities, and advanced expertise in project management tools, such as ClickUp.

Essential Job Functions

Portfolio & Program Management

  • Partner with the Senior Director to develop annual, quarterly, and initiative-specific roadmaps.

  • Convert strategic objectives into structured work plans, milestones, timelines, and deliverables.

  • Manage a portfolio of concurrent initiatives across Adoption & Enablement, including standards, communications, change management, analytics, systems enablement, contractor risk management, quality assurance, and future strategic programs.

  • Identify risks, dependencies, resource constraints, and schedule conflicts before they impact delivery.

  • Build executive-level portfolio presentations, dashboards, status reports, and progress updates.

Workstream Coordination

  • Coordinate execution across multiple workstream owners and subject matter experts.

  • Facilitate regular project reviews and accountability meetings.

  • Track commitments, decisions, actions, and deliverables.

  • Escalate barriers, delays, and risks to leadership when appropriate.

  • Ensure initiatives remain aligned to agreed scope, timelines, and business objectives.

Administration & Governance

  • Serve as the A&E team's primary power user and administrator of the project management software.

  • Design and maintain project templates, portfolios, dashboards, reporting structures, automations, and workflows.

  • Develop metrics and reporting that provide visibility into progress, workload, risks, and resource utilization.

  • Continuously improve project management processes through system optimization and automation.

Organizational Partnership

  • Act as the primary coordination point between A&E and business-sponsored programs.

  • Align A&E deliverables with broader organizational priorities and implementation schedules.

  • Support initiative planning, stakeholder engagement, communication planning, and execution readiness activities.

  • Work closely with portfolio leaders and business partners to integrate A&E support into enterprise transformation efforts.

Additional Duties:

  • Lead or support special projects, transformation initiatives, and operational improvement efforts that advance the goals of the EHS and Adoption & Enablement functions.

  • Perform other duties as assigned, including supporting new business priorities, organizational initiatives, team events and meetings, and strategic efforts as the function continues to evolve.

Success in this role looks like:

  • Establish a single portfolio management framework across all A&E initiatives.

  • Create executive-level visibility into initiative status, risks, and resource needs.

  • Improve project delivery predictability and milestone achievement.

  • Enable workstream owners to focus on execution while ensuring accountability and coordination are maintained.

Job Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Environmental, Health and Safety or a related degree in Business, Project Management, Organizational Development, Operations, Engineering, or related field.

Experience:

  • 5+ years of project, program, portfolio, or business operations management experience.

  • Demonstrated success managing complex, cross-functional programs with multiple stakeholders.

  • Experience building and managing program roadmaps and enterprise-level implementation plans.

  • Experience supporting organizational change, transformation, or operational improvement initiatives.

  • Experience working with executive leadership and cross-functional business teams in a matrixed organization.

Skills:

  • Advanced experience in project management software (such as ClickUp) required.

  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint.

  • Experience building status reports and executive presentations.

  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies and techniques.

  • Strategic thinking with strong execution discipline.

  • Independent, self-directed, and highly organized.

  • Ability to manage complex, multi-track programs simultaneously.

  • Strong presence and communication skills in professional settings.

  • Operates effectively with ambiguity and change.

  • Familiarity with Procore & Power BI a plus.

  • Travel required is expected to be up to 5%.
