Job description

We are sharing a specialised part-time consulting opportunity for professionals experienced in higher education, academic administration, faculty workflows, student affairs, research administration, accreditation, curriculum development, and structured university operations review.

This role supports current and upcoming remote consulting opportunities focused on structured higher education workflow evaluation, academic policy review, university operations analysis, curriculum and accreditation materials, student support documentation, research administration workflows, and high-quality project execution. Selected professionals will apply their higher education expertise to review realistic academic scenarios, evaluate institutional outputs, prepare structured written feedback, and support accurate, evidence-based education workflow tasks.

Key Responsibilities

Professionals in this role may contribute to:

Academic Content, Curriculum & Faculty Workflow Review

  • Review higher education scenarios involving academic content, curriculum development, course planning, faculty governance, departmental processes, and teaching-related materials
  • Evaluate academic outputs against source materials, course objectives, institutional requirements, pedagogical expectations, and documented review criteria
  • Support structured review of faculty workflows, tenure review materials, academic writing, curriculum proposals, and departmental documentation
  • Identify missing information, policy gaps, academic reasoning issues, and expected higher education review outcomes

University Administration & Student Affairs Support

  • Review university operations scenarios involving admissions decisions, enrollment management, registrar workflows, advising, financial aid, residential life, and student support services
  • Evaluate student-facing and administrative materials against institutional policies, student needs, compliance requirements, and source documentation
  • Support structured review of student advising materials, admissions files, enrollment records, institutional communications, and academic operations workflows
  • Prepare clear written explanations for higher education decisions based on source materials and verifiable criteria

Research Administration, Accreditation & Institutional Review

  • Review scenarios involving grant administration, IRB materials, sponsored programs, accreditation processes, assessment, institutional effectiveness, and academic compliance
  • Evaluate higher education outputs against FERPA, Title IX, accreditation standards, institutional policy, and academic governance requirements
  • Annotate, label, or validate data across higher education use cases such as institutional research, course planning, student advising, accreditation review, and academic policy analysis
  • Maintain accuracy, consistency, and professional judgment across submitted work

Ideal Profile

Strong candidates may have:

  • 3+ years of professional experience in higher education, academic administration, faculty roles, student affairs, research administration, accreditation, institutional effectiveness, enrollment management, or related university operations roles
  • Background in one or more areas such as teaching, research, departmental governance, registrar operations, provost office work, admissions, advising, financial aid, residential life, sponsored programs, IRB, accreditation, or assessment
  • Familiarity with university workflows involving curriculum development, tenure review, admissions, grant administration, student advising, accreditation, institutional research, and academic policy
  • Comfort reading and preparing higher education artifacts such as academic policies, course plans, curriculum proposals, advising notes, accreditation materials, grant documents, institutional reports, and student communications

Educational Background

  • A degree or professional background in higher education, education, academic administration, public administration, student affairs, research administration, instructional design, social sciences, humanities, or a related field is helpful
  • Faculty experience, graduate study, institutional administration experience, or university research experience is highly relevant
  • Equivalent practical experience in academic operations, student affairs, accreditation, research administration, or university policy work is also valuable
