Job Description:
Job Summary
Responsible for performing routine accounts payable activities in accordance with established procedures. Processes vendor invoices, payment obligations, and expense reports while maintaining accurate and organized records. Provides customer service to vendors and internal stakeholders by responding to standard inquiries and escalating non-routine issues to senior staff or management.
Essential Functions
• Processes and reconciles accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, including invoices, purchase orders, requisitions, and cash receipts.
• Routes invoices, tracks payment statuses, and resolves processes issues.
• Reviews and audits expense reports and procurement card transactions for policy adherence and proper documentation.
• Maintains accurate filing systems and manages electronic document storage for payment records.
• Reconciles vendor statements, investigates discrepancies, and communicates with vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve outstanding issues.
• Prepares, verifies, and distributes accounts payable reports and checks.
• Provides support for internal and external audits and participates in monthly and yearly close activities.
• Participates in monthly and year-end close processes by preparing accruals and verifying outstanding liabilities.
• Acts as a liaison between departments, vendors, and Beyond Blue Accounts Payable to facilitate payment processes.
• Maintains organized electronic and physical records of payment transactions and supporting documentation.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
Education Requirement
High school diploma or equivalent experience
Experience Requirement
0-2 years of experience in accounting, finance, clinical setting, or a relevant area
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. All experience must be paid and in the same related field. Part-time and PRN experience will be prorated based on hours worked per week. Volunteer work and internships for academic credit are not counted.
