What does a remote accounts payable manager do?

As a remote accounts payable manager, your job is to work from home and use virtual accounting software to manage the funds a company owes to its vendors. In this role, you may keep the company informed about how much it currently owes, monitor process payments to vendors, get approval for the company's significant expenses, and help prepare information and reports for taxes. Accounts payable managers often lead a team of other accountants, help set up accounts for new vendors, and track ongoing expenses like payroll and recurring utility charges. If the company has an unusually large payment coming up, you may alert executives so they can be sure the company has enough liquid funds to finance the payment when the vendor sends the invoice.
