The Key Accounting Manager is responsible for ensuring LTD's contracted scope and deadlines are accurately and timely met.
  • Depending on the scope, the Key Accounting Manager manages the day-to-day accounting operations of the client which may include accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
  • Preparing financial reports: The Key Accounting Manager prepares financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, and presents them to the client.
  • Ensuring compliance with laws and regulations: The Key Accounting Manager ensures that the organization complies with all relevant laws and regulations related to accounting and financial reporting.
  • Supervising accounting staff: The Key Accounting Manager supervises the work of accounting staff, ensuring that they perform their duties accurately and efficiently.
  • Developing and implementing accounting policies and procedures: The Key Accounting Manager develops and implements accounting policies and procedures to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data.
  • Budgeting and forecasting: The Key Accounting Manager prepares and manages the budget and forecasts for the client, working closely with the client and/or the CFO consultant.
  • Conducting audits: The Key Accounting Manager may conduct internal audits of the organization's financial operations to identify areas of improvement and ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures.
  • Preparing for external audits: The Key Accounting Manager ensures that the books are audit ready, all supporting documents are available, and leads the audit on behalf of the client and accounting team.
  • Collaborating with other departments: The Key Accounting Manager collaborates with other departments within the client's organization and/or within LTD, such as finance, operations, and human resources, to ensure that financial information is accurate and up to date.
  • Providing financial analysis: The Key Accounting Manager provides financial analysis and recommendations to senior management to support decision-making processes.
  • Tax preparation: The Key Accounting Manager provides tax preparers with all of the reports and data needed for the tax preparer to complete tax returns.
Requirements
Education:
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Professional certification such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CMA (Certified Management Accountant) is preferred but not required
  • Non-Profit Accounting certification a plus
Experience:
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in accounting, finance, or related field, preferably as a consultant or a position where work includes directly assisting multiple clients.
  • Proven experience as an accounting manager or in a similar managerial and/or consulting role, preferably
Skills:
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards
  • Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with other departments and senior management
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
  • Ability to lead and manage a team of accounting staff
  • Demonstrated expertise in QuickBooks (QBO preferred)
  • Demonstrated expertise in Accounting Software (e.g. QBO, Sage etc.) or general tech knowledge (Saas, Cloud tech)
  • Accounting complexity (payroll/ HR compliance, regular closing with supporting knowledge

Other Requirements
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a multi-client environment
  • Understanding of laws and regulations related to accounting and financial reporting
  • Willingness to continuously learn and stay up to date with industry developments
